I didnt just say that they beat them.
I said that they are the better team, and proved it. On the field. Twice, and both times were blowouts. Not games that could have gone either way with a play here, or a block there.

But no matter, VT still goes to a BCS bowl.

Yeah I already agreed with you that Clemson beat em... VT just for some reason isn't playing well against Clemson - They have always been to the point you never know which team will show up anymore and is just nuts for any fan as you can imagin. Blow out shut down a top 25 team one week get hammered the next - injuries played a big part in last Sat's game - Hosely went out and Boyd went right to his replacement the rest of the night...that hurt and hurt a lot. I could go on and on about bad calls in the game but that's every game but yes VT is still going to a BCS bowl game and to be honest I'm smiling from ear to ear cause of losing to Clemson and VT gets the better bowl - that's just funny how it all panned out.

Not shocked to be honest. Personally I would have put them 3rd, but a few coaches disagreed and voted 4th (one 5).

I see they released how each coach voted yesterday. It was awful nice of Saban to put OSU at #4, I honestly thought he would vote us 5th. I guess Pinkel was trying to garner some brownie points for Missouri's new conference also putting OSU at #4. I don't know what Air Force was thinking putting us at #5.

OSU got the best consolation prize anyway. OSU vs. Stanford in the Fiesta Bowl should be an offensive spectacle, unlike the LSU/Alabama rematch.

Coaches voting in a poll might be the dumbest part of the BCS, and that's saying a lot.

No.."my dad can beat up your dad...." Oh geez, here we go again.... ;)

This has little do with conference and everything to do with wins and loses.

It is very apparent bad loses(losing to an unranked team) mean much more than quality wins(throttling a top 10 team).

It sucks, but there is no other choice we have at the present time.

Too bad, I personally think an OSU vs. LSU game would have been a much better game and more likely, the only ones that feel differently are the VERY fortunate 'Bama fans and the SEC marks.

I'm not a SEC fan but I do think they got it right.

I think the Fiesta Bowl will be the best of the bcs games. I am fine with the rankings. I just don't like all the manipulation that goes on with it or the excuses some coaches and writers were trying to come up with to justify their votes (the eye test or the bama writer in the harris pole that said bama didn't play a lot of ranked teams but they were teams that were traditionally tough). I didn't watch the 1st snooze fest and I probably won't watch this one mainly because I don't care to watch lsu or bama play each other or anyone else. I used to watch Bama some, but I'm not a fan of saban and haven't watched since he took over.

The in-laws just bought a winter place at Lake Havasu so I'm thinking its time to go visit and see about going to the Fiesta and Insight Bowls. I need a vacation anyway to get away from things.

really?? so if I ask what will the weather be tomorrow you can tell me that too mr. I can look into the future.

Michigan fan or VT Hater?

On another note the coaches voting was interesting majority had vt ranked 9th or 10th - Beamer had them higher at 13th than they came out so no favs here

Best Comment so far on the Sugar Bowl comes from San Jose Mercury News National CFB Writer . Jon Wilner

" Virginia Tech- Soft Non Conference Schedule,Preposterously overrated all season, blown out in the ACC Title Game, and in the Sugar Bowl as the Worst AQ at large in the history of the BCS, and that includes Pop Warner leagues.

Spot on

Did I hear correctly today that OSU is ranked 103 in Defense ?

I really hope thats not true.

The whole big 12 and Pac 12 suck at defense. I mean when you allow teams to constantly score 20-30 points against you and the only reason you win is because your offense scored 35-40. Your defense is not good!

the Big 10, The SEC are by far the best defenses in the country, and its really hard to judge the best offenses because well in the pac 12/big12 of course the offense looks good because defense just is not played there.

Now that one made me chuckle !!!!

Ohio State is Traditionally tough, not so much this year ...

Can they bring back the teams that were tough to play this game ? :D

Big East Expansion?

When will Ohio State get the final resolution from the NCAA?
