Saturday night I was thinking of re-activating the receiver just for Nick Jr.
As per the online agent, I CANNOT re-activate and go the Flex route as I MUST
sign up w/ a promo/contract and get new equipment.

Before I was about to call BS, I wished her a pleasant evening and left it at that.

Am fairly certain the online chat reps arent all clowns so whats the deal?
Do they receive bonuses for the number of "new clients" sign up or it is management imposing that they push for the new promos/contracts and deny flex accounts exist?

Kinda frustrating experience considering the client knows a bit more than the average in this case..

Cheers, K

I would be happy to look into this further for you. Did you have a previous account with us? Can you please send us your account information if so? Thank you.

Without more info hard to say what's going on, but you know what they say when something fails over and over again, but you keep doing it..... :)

Just on The info presented, something's I can think of that may be the case, but not apply to you, is mpeg2 equipment in a mpeg4 only area, previous account with leased equipment, leased equipment trying to be activated on a seperate account, and a few others. Need more info to the situation.

That was one of pieces of info I meant when I said without more info.....

Ay yaya... you folks have no fate in me! :oldmad
Its a VIP222.

Then hoops I go through just for 1 channel. At this point I dont care if the channel comes in
in HD, SD or black and white.

Cheers, K

Yeah, that original agent was wrong (from everything I know). If you have a purchased 222, you most certainly can do a flex or activation account. My first thought was that you were trying to re-activate a 311, 322, or 625, and that will push Dish to get you new equipment.

As a Dish employee, my opinions are my own, and do not represent my employer in any way, shape, or form.

I have a deactivated flex account with 2 722k's & 1 211,if I bought a HWS,Super Joey,& regular Joey, would it be best to just set up a new flex account or try to reopen the old one? I would also need either a new Eastern Arc dish(1000.2 EA) or at least a EA LNB for my 1000.4 WA dish I already have. I'm just wondering if I should just start everything new?

Kraven, Did you PM (start a conversation) with Cheri from DIRT? They will get you taken care of if it is at all possible.
I did.. she seems to reply once every two weeks ??

Anywho, I just off the "chat line" w/ Dish again.... the mate said I can pay for a new activation account online and provide him w/ my CC # in the chat because its "as secure as a bank". Seems a bit off non?

Cheers, K

I think that the Dish Chat agents must share a brain... And any time I have TRIED to use chat, I have never communicated with one that had it that day.

Give you a secret. All the frontline chat agents are outbound outsource agents. If you go through the dishanywhere, you get a advanced tech onshore chat agent. More experience, and typically knows the problem before you do.

Point is, providing my CC # through a chat window is one of the last thing I would do... surprised a DISH agent would want it.
