Welcome once again to another SatelliteGuys Recap of todays Dish Network Retailer Chat.

As always we will only report the intem of interest to you the consumer, we do not discuss dealer sensitive information such as dealer costs and profits. The information posted here is the same information you could get from any retailer who happened to see the chat.

Once again while this is psuedo real time coverage, I have the benefit of beiing able to pause and rewind the chat which is usefull for getting screen shots etc, so coverage here at SatelliteGuys will be delayed a few minutes.

A slide is shown and it says "NEW HD PROGRAMMING" is one of the topics being covered...

But before they talk about anything they talk about how registration is now open for Team Summit 2008 in Nashville, TN.

The motto for Team Summit is "Decision Dish"

Team Summit will be held on May 15 - 17th in Nashville

Now after a long talk about Team Summit we are on to NEW HD PROGRAMMING.

They tell us about NBA Network HD which launched on October 29th, in AT100 and higher with Dish HD. (Boo thats not new HD Programming)

And thats the end of New HD Programming news. (BOO!!!)

LOL, you’re so right. I guess by New Years they will have heard D have added a lot of new HD and respond by Team Summit.

Their all excited about the upcoming Meyweather fight? What about the D vs E fight. D is knocking E all over the ring. Let's just hope that this is like the movies and in the twelfth round, E KO's D but I think were still in the first, aren't we?

Yea, well, even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.

I was hoping I was wrong.

The thing you have to remember is that Charlie will look you straight in the eye and lie, and he won't even blink. Of course that's not exclusive to Dish, but right now that's the company I'm concerned with.

Normally I would still hold out hope that new HD programming is coming within a reasonable time frame but with this ATT business who knows?

I'll either switch to D* or shut up.

Strange thing is that they have the room to add a lot of HD right now. As far as National HD, D must have got some kind of exclusive 3 or 6 month deal for some of there new add-ons. Otherwise, E could have easily added SCI-FI and others.

Do they have call in questions at this non-event? Why doesn't a retailer call in and flat-out ask them the questions we want to know answers to. Is that not politically correct to do in the retail chat? An inquiring mind wants to know.

You know what would be really funny, if Direct TV starts broadcasting Charlie Chat and Technical Chat in HD.

The Mayweather Fight will be in HD on Channel 9467 The cost is $54.95

Spiderman 3 is coming December 14th on Pay Per View.

Man this is a depressing chat so far. And also sorry for the delay, we had a building evacuation which kept me away for a few minutes.

Well, Comcast says they have more HD "programs" than the other guy. Sort of speaks to the non-HD HD channels don't it.
