D---. I wonder if PS3 will continue to outsell the xbox 360, or it it's just a blip. And could the Wii really be trending down already?

How likely is it that NPD will later release "adjusted/corrected" figures that might vary from the above?

Both the 360 and Wii numbers have already been explained to be due to demand higher than supply btw.

I wonder how much longer Sony will continue to canabalize PS3 sales by continuing to make and promote the PS2. I'm sure they were doing it until the PS3 finally caught on and more games were available, but it seems now would be a good time to start the weening process (which of course would be a lot easier if the 40G was BC).

PS2 w/ Singstar for $100 at Amazon, almost picked it up. Guitar Hero: Aerosmith announced for PS2. Publishers not giving gamers a lot of reason to move on from their trusty PS2.

Which is exactly why Sony needs to put the hammer down now. The longer this goes on, the bigger the no-BC issue becomes.

I would think the negative publicity with the failure rates of the 360 would sooner or later start to have an effect on sales especially now that the PS3 is dropping its price.

MS is claiming a shortage. I wonder if this "shortage" is like the one that Sony declared last year.

Yeah, I was at Fry's and BB over the weekend and they both had plenty of Arcade's and Halo3 SE's.

arcade and halo SE's are not the ones people want right now though.

the 360 elite with 120 gig HD is the one thats sold out everywhere here as well.

the halo one only has a 20 gig like the pro, in fact most people don't want to pay an extra $50 for Green and copper coloring.


The premium and elite are both short stock around my place (couldn't find an elite locally anywhere).

So I guess the shortage is real... at least as far as those 2 SKUs are concerned.

Could be - honestly, I didn't look that closely at what else (if anything) was there in terms of 360 systems, I just noticed those two...

If that's the case, though, Microsoft has no one to blame but themselves. It's not like the Wii, where they just can't make enough (allegedly) - MS made the wrong ones...

I've seen 2 elites @ my local Wal-Mart, gamecrazy has 4, and eb has 1 the last time I checked.

I checked gamestop, wallyworld, Circuit city, Best buy, American, K mart. Nada around here. St. Louis area.
