What new HD channels this week?

Switches to what? Indy cars?

IndyCars will race exclusively in HD this season with the possible exception of the Japan and Long Beach races, and Dish should have them all on ESPN or ESPN2.

I think there are some NASCAR races on Speed starting in May or June.

But aren't the replays on HDnet? So just try to avoid hearing the results for a few days!

Dang! (not true sailorspeak)

Six years in Uncle Sam's canoe club for me as well... (1985-1991)

To keep it on track, no new HD this week then? I am going to have to quit reading this forum. If I didn't know anything it wouldn't be so dissapointing every week...

Jeez you squids can't stay on mission. Here's to hoping SciFi and USA-HD light up tomorrow.

As a dirt eating Army vet, I'm getting tired of all this squiddy talk. Air Assault! :p

Did I hear you call for the Air Force? I can fix your "Squid" problems with butter and carpet bombing.
:D

Couldn't wait anymore. I just dropped down to HD Essential from Ultimate. Could not find the extra value $10 buys me with Ultimate. Voom channels are not worth it to me anymore.

Dish will not have Speed HD until after their lawsuit with FOX (News Corp) over The Fox News Channel is settled.

Fox owns Speed HD.

Isn't it more complicated than that? I think carriage of Speed HD is probably tied to carriage of Fox Business Channel, which is also tied to the lawsuit.

In short, Speed HD is being held hostage until Dish agrees to carry FBC, FBC HD and FNC HD.

Given the politics involved (not to mention the waste of precious bandwidth), I think the acronym WHFO (When Hell Freezes Over) should be applied to Dish carriage of Speed HD.

Since from what I understand, Charlie and I have similar political leanings, I feel bound to stand with him on this one, and forgo the ALMS and SCCA in HD for now.

Out of all the channels offered in HD by either E* / D*, how many are showing more than 75% of their 24hour programming in true HD???? Are we that eager for picture quality or content? What say?
