Why such poor guide data?

In the current CE software, D* now includes the original air date in the show description. This is a big help. Not sure when it will go national, but improvements are coming.

Kind of curious...even though it may not say "New" or "REPEAT" in the visible guide data, when setting up a new "season pass" it offers to record ALL, NEW ONLY or BOTH. I would assume that this means the system is able to check that data somewhere because I have had VERY GOOD performance on not recording multiple copies of a previously aired show when I select NEW. So while we may not see it, the DVR does...or at least seems to.

With the original Air Date now listed, it's very easy to see if it's new or a repeat.

D* used to give the Repeat info on a regular basis, maybe it changed when the Air Date started appearing.
