NCAA Football 2008-09 Season

If both USC and tOSU go undefeated the rest of the way (very likely), then they will face each other again in the BCSNC if:

1. There are no undefeated or 1 loss teams in the Big 12 or SEC, and
2. Notre Dame has a loss.

What say the rest of you?

anders,

got a Tar Heels question:

What was more thrilling for you:

A. Beating Miami in 2004

B. Demolishing Florida State in 2001?

Thoughts on the late Saturday games.

1. Fresno State played like a scared to lose team and got what that gets you, a loss.

2. Something tells me ASU will never play UNLV again. About a dozen UNLV players are from Arizona, despite it's struggles play hard and the Arizona Heat doesn't affect them since Vegas this time of year is just as hot.

3. Despite the loss Ohio State can still be in the BCS Championship. All of those SEC and Big XII teams in the top 10 will knock each other off.

4. Keep you eye out on Florida State, they may bolt into the top 15 in the polls this week.

And risk another embarassment?

As far as I'm concerned, the BCS would rather invite Texas Tech or Notre Dame to the title game than THE Overrated State University! :)D No offense, Jimbo, but I wanted West Virginia or Missouri- either team would have CRUSHED LSU!)

Neither. No football game has ever been as exciting as this.

Oh, no doubt. They both played outstanding in their must-win games against Pitt and OU that would've actually gotten them into the NC.

They would've both gotten shut down by LSU's defense, just like they always did when they faced decent defenses during their games before.

You really think # 2 is a possibility (an undefeated ND) ?

Thats OK, LSU won't be there either this year., so you won't have to worry about that.

I would much rather make it to the game, than NOT, afterall, isn't that what were all after in the long run, if you don't make it there, you have NO chance of winning it, that make the team actually playing in the game ahead of the other 115 teams in D1 ...

New Mexico beat Arizona
TCU beat Stanford
UNLV beat Arizona State(at ASU)
BYU beat Washington(at UW) and UCLA.

Cal host Colorado State this weekend
Oregon St plays at Utah on Oct. 2
Those are the last 2 MWC vs. Pac-10 games

Here's a link to the latest AP poll:

AP, coaches' Top 25 rankings - College football - NBCSports.com

1. WHY is Auburn still ranked? The voters are either deadset on that 'defense wins championships; mantra or they're still in love with that War Eagle nonsense?

2. How the hell did Florida get a first-place vote?

3. Georgia got 2 first-place votes?

4. Missouri should be ranked third.
Five teams from the SEC in the top 10. Has that ever happened before with any conference?
