This turned out to be a Charlie RECAP with a mixture of political claptrap. Bleh! What is the number to DirectTV...
For those who are not aware, the "Charlie Chat" is on Dish Network Channel 101 at 9pm ET on the second Monday of the month, every 2-3 months.

I've tried and tried and tried every thing I can think of to get into chat. I was hoping to meet some of you in the chat room tonight, but it seems that chat is broken for some of us. I can't stay online. Hope you all have a happy holiday.
Regarding the issues of New National HD and New HD Local Markets, Charlie strongly implied that those would be coming once Ciel-2 was deployed, which would be February 1st the latest, but could be as early as the final days of December.
Also, Eric Sahl was on the Chat as VP of Programming (so don't believe unconfirmed rumors).

My girlfriend is pretty pissed that I made her sit through that... I kept saying, "maybe they will announce something cool that you would be into, like E!" But alas, nothing... I am heart broken... and sleeping on the couch...
Charlie said the same when the last launch went up in August and no hd was added.
Eric is still with Dish through December.

Is it just me, or was that the worst freaking show that anyone has ever seen. I was hoping that Charlie wouldn't grind on us, but as he usual, he did. No new HD since August, a sad excuse as to why and some chick from CNBC, not MSNBC. He has to be either joking, or freaking nuts.
Direct and Fios didn't use part time HD channels as an excuse and the networks that they have been in negotiations with have been in existince for over two years. So there is no excuse for this shafting. Plenty of time, 15 million customers, one crooked CEO who wants to raise prices, not customer satisfaction. I can't wait till April so I can leave this crap for Direct. At least they have real HD and fewer empty promises.

The peope at E* must know that members of this website are up to speed on what they are, and are not doing, and in most likelyhood represent the majority of Dish subscribers feelings.

I agree, it was the worst. When Charlie and Jim started talking about splitting Golf and Versus, I was thinking "you can think about it, but don't do it" (Smokey and the Bandit). But they did, they counted the split channels as new HD.
And then all the other JUNK!
Only good thing about the chat was that Comedy Central was listed.
Hmm, I just noticed, there were precisely 7 Viacom logos put up. And seven temps uplinked. Perhaps a deal is close to being done. Put them on the Chat just to fuel the fire at Viacom?
