We have numerous people who post here under different names and it seems like they do this just to play with other members here in the sports forum.

In going through the flagged duplicate accounts and PM's some folks even try making fun of peoples teams just to make other users mad.

Then we have other users who love to use the report a post button here in the sports area just because someone has said something bad about their team. How silly. If everyone cheered for the same team, the sports world would be very boring.

As a Boston Red Sox fan my favorite place to go see baseball games is at Yankee Stadium, when to me it is fun to sit with folks who hate your team. I have had some of the best times of my life at Yankee Stadium with people heckling me as I am in a RedSox shirt and hat and me in turn hecking them back. In fact all of these times everyone around me knew we were having fun. There have been times by the end of the game a few drinks have been shared between me and the others and we had fun and thats what sports are all about.

We all sometimes take sports to seriously and forget above all sports are just folks playing games. And when your playing games or watching the goal is to have fun.

Yup. And I'll say the same thing here in the public forum, that I've told other members in both PM's and emails....................I OVERREACTED....I admit it.

I was having a sucky weekend and I jumped all over a stupid thread. I apologize for that. I'm usually a lot more thick-skinned than that.

However, it's what happened after that thread that really ticked me off. My character was attacked (including some people that just showed up out of the woodwork ), and I couldn't understand that. I felt after 3,000+ respectful posts,and becoming a pub member, I dunno, maybe should have gained me some credibility when I f'd up for the first time.

I've been a lifelong Sox fan myself, and have been to Yankee Stadium five times. I had the time of my life there. :up

I have close family that are Yankees fans, and we trade barbs all the time.
