Welcome 922 Beta Testers

Did you print the 922 job-aid off the retailer care site? If you did and followed the steps on there, then I'm not sure. We had some issues getting started before we knew there was a job-aid. One way to reset the remote is to hold the middle button on the right side of the remote in for 10 seconds. It should beep. Then try linking it again by pressing the sat button. Hope that helps.

mt_hawley, I'm not sure if any people you call at Dish can help. The paperwork I have says not to call Dish, you need to email the private email address found on your paperwork or found at the Dish retailer site.

Here is the Remote Instructions from the Job Aid.

Use a USB keyboard. :)

The on screen keyboard is not working yet.

There is also a wireless keyboard that they tested that works really good with the 922 its an Adesso WKB-4000-US [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Adesso-WIRELESS-SLIMTOUCH-TOUCHPAD-WKB-4000US/dp/B00083Y0YG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1244656862&sr=8-1]Amazon.com: Adesso 2.4 GHZ WIRELESS SLIMTOUCH TOUCHPAD MINI KEYBOARD SILVER W/BLACK KEYS ( WKB-4000US ): Electronics[/ame]

Havent tried it.

But according to the job aid its working. Press Menu on the remote twice to be taken to the sysinfo screen where you can find the Sling Finder ID... take that number and plug it in your Slingplayer software and you are good to go. :)

I went to the broadband setup menu and it showed I have no connection. I retested and it said the same thing. All I did was unplug the ethernet cable from my laptop and hooked it into the receiver. Not sure if I'm doing anything wrong.

I don't have a way of putting pictures on here at the moment. There aren't really any options available on the screen.

Are the addresses from your router given out auotmatically or are your IP addresses static for each PC?

The 922 can not do hard coded IP's yet so your network must support DHCP.

I'm not exactly sure. I don't know how our network is setup here at work. I'm assuming that is where my problem is coming from though. I already have the sling software downloaded on my computer so I can start checking that out as soon as I get internet connection to it.

Yeah I would say its probably a router issue. As whoever does your network to turn DHCP on and you should be good to go.

I am courious to see how the Sling stuff works myself. :)

Reset is on there, but I still have no connection. There are no other options on there I can select though.

I am having the same issue here.....I disco'd the ethernet from my 622 which was reading fine and connected to the 922 and it will not show "connected." I would call this a bug...

Is the 922 dual mode ready?

I haven't done the activation yet and can't do much with it as of yet.

Looking forward to setting it up and getting down the playing with it.
