He is so far south that it is more west than anything.
How much further south is he than I? Not much. The bird is still over the equator which is still quite a bit south of him. I think it has more to do with the fact that he is further east than I. Most of the birds are to my SE, where they are SW or S of him. This is why I though S would be a bigger issue.

It probably has more to do with the fact that storms move from the west in a line from north to south. Even an approaching storm from the west will still have high cloud tops to his south.
 
this has proven to be a big problem for directv,i know of a number of customers that have switched back to dish network because of directv rain fade issues.

i had major issues with E* and rain fade even with the dish peaked. i've had way less rain fade with D* than what i had with E*. not favoring one or the other, it's just my experience with both peaked.

Lol, got us mixed up and I am still not in the right place.

Grew up in Bama, live right across the line in mississippi now. Not far from florida either. About an hour or so from cajun state too :p
