Wake is now only 18 wins behind Clemens and Cy Young for the Red Sox all-time wins leader.
The way Timmy's been dealing,it's not inconceivable that he reaches that sometime in the second half of 2010.

The Red Sox today placed Mike Lowell on the 15-day disabled list with a right hip strain (retroactive to June 28), recalling Jeff Bailey from Triple-A Pawtucket and inserting him into tonight's lineup:
1. Julio Lugo, SS
2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
3. Kevin Youkilis, 3B
4. Jason Bay, LF
5. David Ortiz, DH
6. Jason Varitek, C
7. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF
8. Rocco Baldelli, RF

That was an EPIC meltdown by the Red Sox bullpen last night!
The Papelbon, Okajima, Delcarmen, Ramirez, Saito and Masterson group has been the best in baseball this year. But they couldn't hold a 10-1 7th inning lead against the worst team in the AL.
Oh well, I'm highly confident the meltdown was an aberration, and we have one of the hottest pitchers in baseball set to take the mound in just minutes.
One very promising thing came from last night's disasterous loss: John Smoltz pitched four very strong shutout innings before the rain delay ended his night.
The Papelbon, Okajima, Delcarmen, Ramirez, Saito and Masterson group has been the best in baseball this year. But they couldn't hold a 10-1 7th inning lead against the worst team in the AL.

That was hilarious. Although if it had been the Reds I would have been pissed.
Red Sox win 6-5 in 11 innings.
One night after the improbable implosion, Sox pitching retired the last 24 men they faced.
Papelbon is now the Red Sox all-time saves leader surpassing Bob "Steamer" Stanley.
The Sox end their road trip at 6-3, and now come home for the last 10 games before the ASB.
And to think, in 2007, there were rumors that he wanted to be a starter.
Good thing he didn't go that route!
I guess you can say they're even after the last two. They "should have" won last night and "should have" lost today....
