MSNBC HD Now Available

That's the plan for now during much/most/all of the daytime, much like CNBC. The evening shows - Olberman, Maddow, etc are supposed to be in 16:9 HD. Not sure about Morning Joe...

Morning Joe is 16:9 too. The online msnbc.com clips from MJ and the evening shows have been in 16:9 since June 29th.

Since MSNBC is now in HD , I will never watch FOX or CNN again, Contessa Brewer is a 10 in my books :>)

I have HD absolute...
As do I and for any of us to expect any new HD channels is foolish. If we get a single one, it's more than we should expect to get. Our channel package is effectively "dead". We can keep it but nothing more will be done with it.

Considering the fact that I was told by a CSR as recent as April that I would still receive new channels and considering that we did receive new channels after the 1st of the year, I do no consider it FOOLISH to expect to get what I was told I would receive. However, considering the past untruths I have received from nonEnglish-speaking CSR's I don't consider it worth my while to have to call and listen to more lies.

I just reset and held ten seconds. MSNBC HD came on first, but it looks so dull compared to Fox News. Not much wow in picture I receive.Chris Matthews in HD--can we handle that?

Even without MSNBC-HD, Fox News HD, Fox Business HD, FX HD, MTV HD, VH1 HD, Nick HD and Speed HD I'm still happy with Dish HD Absolute.

E* will have to add at least another dozen or so HD channels to the other subscription packages, revamp the channel line ups in those packages and adjust the pricing structure to get me to voluntarily switch to another subscription package.

Until then I'm sticking with the best deal in HD: HD Absolute. I'm paying $57 per month for HD Absolute, HBO, my local HD channels and the DVR. Not bad at all.

I rebooted our 622s and it still didn't come up without the error. Then about 15 minutes later it came up OK.

Last time we had this problem I went to the online chat at their website and had the CSR give our receivers a hit. Worked and only took a couple of minutes.

I wonder if the receivers need their regularly scheduled authorized message to get new channels?

Did. I swear if they require upgrading to that platinum package I am going to dump these people for sure.
Don't go there. You are supposed to get it. I have it with Classic Silver +. If you have no success tonight, call Tech Support (NOT A CSR) tomorrow. I did not get it at first after a reset. About 20 minutes later, it came on.

Forcing it to download the guide by running a check switch now.
We all had it in the guide. But we got the error 004 when we selected it. FYI, its on 9511 (209) and 4209. Double check locks, if any.

Just came home, remembered it was supposed to be today, turned on 209 and there it was...MSNBC HD! Thank you Dish Network!!! :D:up
