PEACHTREE TV ATLANTA BRAVES BASEBALL

Waking up this morning, I am even more in the dumps. The Braves shut the Yankees out 4-0 last night. I missed it. And the next game will be even more competitive....and I'll miss it too

Almost...almost, makes me wish I still had Charter. :p

Game was on WWOR last night if you didn't have Peachtree, the rest of the series is on YES though so no dice there obviously.

All of South Carolina is Braves territory. So it is blacked out for ESPN and TBS games.

Tennesse is Braves territory too, so I have the same problem.

So what they're saying is we've declared all of South Carolina to be Braves territory. Accordingly, you will never be able to see a Braves game.

Not exactly,
You'll never see a Braves game on ESPN or TBS if Peachtree TV, FSN South or SportsSouth is carrying the game (as those 3 own the rights to broadcast in Braves Territory. Peachtree has 45 games, FSN South & SportsSouth have the rest).

A little OT, but I'll keep it in here to keep the forum clean. I am new to the entire RSN thing, since I had to live for years with only a SD version of Fox Sportsouth on Charter cable. Do the RSNs carry any Football/Basketball/Hockey College or Pro during those seasons? If so are the blackouts as restrictive as baseball?

This has been discussed here many, many times but for your benefit, I'll review:
As a general rule, pro sports on the RSN's are blacked out. College sports, not airing elsewhere (i.e. ESPN), are not blacked out. MLB games are blacked out for 3 hours, which means you can see the final innings of many games, rain delayed games, extra innings and so on. If you are a Mets fan, it gets even better. The blackout window for Mets prime time games is just 2 and a half hours.

Thanks for the info. Do the HD feeds for the pro baseball games stay on past the 3 hour window, or will I have to catch the SD versions?

Also do the RSNs get a lot of activity for college football, and does Dish generally have the HD feeds of those channels turned on for College games?

The lentgh of the blackout applies only to SD for MLB. I do not know if Dish turns on HD feeds of the RSN's for college football. I am sure someone on this board can answer the question.

I was a Dish cusomer for nearly 6 years but I had to switch to DirecTV in 2008 in order to get Peachtree TV. Last year they ran DirecTV commercials over & over but this season they have a raw broadcast with no commercials. When the announcers break, they stay with a shot from way up high behind home plate and sometimes you can hear the announcers mumbling in the background. They don't offer the HD broadcast, just SD so far but I can see those 45 games where I could not when I had Dish Network.

Wow, Dish finally got something done with Peachtree. Hope Dish will announce that this is a long term deal, might consider coming back.

Are you guys getting the same thing that cable is getting during commercials? We get a background high shot of the stadium behind homeplate instead of commercials. I assume Dish is getting the same feed?
