Every day, I go to the Azbox forum to see what's new, and see if there are any responses to my bug/suggestion posts. Today I went there, and the forum is empty.
It just says "This board has no forums." . Hopefully not an indication that they are going to cut their losses and give up. I think I saw this happen once before, perhaps during server work, but it's still strange.

It looks like that until you log in. I was just there. Still active.

DUH! :)
You're right. I guess my cookies expired, and I previously had it set to automatically log in.
Thanks.

EDIT: Weird though, they seemed to have moved 2 of my 3 posts. They must not have liked the subforum I had them in?

They're always moving posts if they don't like the way people ask questions. It's pretty sad. They should be fixing people's problems, not criticizing them for posting them.

Which forum are you visiting for the AZBox? I visit a couple, although I think our forum right here is about the best overall, but I would also like to be on the same page as everyone else.

I visit these three sites for help with the AZBox:

Welcome to AZBox • Index page

ALSAT - Powered by vBulletin

AZBox Snapshots

Do you visit any site other than these?

Thanks B.J.

A couple of European sites have Azbox section as well, satpimps and sat-universe. You will find "livelier" discussion there and there is no need to register to read the forums.

I'm talking about "THE" Azbox forum.
Welcome to AZBox • Index page

Supposedly you can submit [BUG] and [SUGGESTION] reports there, but they seem to have ignored the posts I've made, and then actually moved them out of the suggestion page.

That is one of the sites that I have used myself for reporting bugs and suggestions. I went back and reviewed all of my old posts and found them to all be present, albeit that they might have been quite buried in the past.

I don't think that they always respond, especially to bug reports, unless they require a clarification of the matter or if they sense that you are doing something procedurally incorrect (rather than being a bug it appears to be an operator error).

I think that if the report is truly a bug, they use that information, but don't always inform you of such. Notice that they request you report bugs and suggestions with a very specific format (or template). I have a suspicion that they download all reports when in this format to a database and categorize them accordingly for use by the programmers and troubleshooters. I also suspect that if you simply type up a normal dialog (w/o using the template) that they may not use it, even though the moderators may read it and possibly respond. Therefore, I always use the template when I report a bug or suggestion, unless I am merely responding to another's report as a matter of agreement or support.

I do notice that they do move older posts to an "archive" section. I don't know if these archives are resolved bug reports, dead-ends or items that they don't know how to address or posts which are obviously unworthy of response (bitch and gripe things without substantial purpose).

My suspicions and hypothesis may not be accurate, but I am a bit of an optimist.
