Adding a channel manually to CS 6k?

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to add a channel manually to a TP on the Coolsat 6000 if you know the pids? Something I want won't scan in. Easy to do on my Viewsat, but can't find a way on the Coolsat, I think I've looked in all the menus and I can't find any posts on the subject. Thanks in advance.

You can enter the specific information using the PID scan mode (in the INSTALLATION menu), but you still have to scan for the channel itself. If the channel is active and live, you should pick it up if the dish is aligned properly and the antenna/switch/LNB settings are all appropriate. If you have Channel Master Editor, I think you can actually add the channel to the list and then load the file to the Coolsat that way.

Clicked on Iceberg's list of posts, but can't access them, but did find an 8-step formula that might work, although I'm trying on KU band, it might work. I don't have them all in my Viewsat yet, will try to do the CS workaround at a later date. Thanks again.

Skyscanner, you can try using another channel that has already been scanned in by going to that channel in the editing menu and change the freq, SR and PID's to the channel you want if you know the info you need. it worked for the CW's mux that require manual input.

You can use another channel within the same sat that you're not using such as a spanish or whatever. keep us posted

That worked. There is only 1 channel that scans in on that TP, so I'll have to rescan each time I want to add another channel. I scanned it in, changed the pids and renamed it, and I'm "golden" if you get my meaning. Thanks everyone.

Thanks again to everyone. I actually did try that before but didn't get it to work. I tried it on Pentagon D but it wouldn't accept the pid as entered, but kept putting a 2 in front of it. Then after you guys clued me in, I rescanned the TP freq I wanted, got 1 channel I was able to change and enter. Thanks.
