well mine was suppose to come today (also paid less then 100 bucks) and got the dreaded news from UPS

"signature required on delivery"

I live alone (well me and my dish farm) so I have to reroute it to my moms who lives nearby..really wanted to play with it this weekend but I guess I have to wait :(

What works for me in this situation is to pick up the package at will call. There is a UPS depot approximately five miles from my place.

So after getting a signature required delivery notice, I call up the 800 number and tell them the door tag / tracking number. They hold it at the local place for pick up. Usually it is picked up the next day after initial delivery attempt....

PAL

I noticed some of these Neusat 9000 HD receivers selling today for only $75 on EBay. At this price I might just pick one up.

My Coolsat 7100 also hangs when it finds a 4:2:2 feed while blind scanning.

Will this hog do PAL, handle 220V? If so, I'm grabbing one and taking it to Europe.

I just picked up one of these receivers, it still has the old firmware, it is brand new, I have a couple of questions: Is there anyway to do manuel PID inputs on this, and where can I get new/different firmware for it?
Thanks
Terry

You'll probally have to go to a hack site to get firmware as i don't think nuesat's did any updates for a long time. And even at the hack sites the newest you'll find is from 2008. But, still better than the factory.

I think patch 14 was the latest. The factory had some issues with not finding channels during a scan. You can also convert it to a Captain. But, i don't think it'll be any better.

Haven't done the update yet, I like this unit, the color is great, I have found most of the channels that I like to watch, found some HD channels, it will do AC-3 so that allows more channels, but I can't believe any one would make a unit that you could not do manuol PIDs that just drives me crazy.

Following this semi old/new thread.. I have a chance to get one for $40.00 locally, But not sure if I should hehe.
Mainly I would use it to blind scan HD feeds on Ku and move my HH120 motor with it..

You do know that any blind scan receiver can find HD feeds? ;)

Oh yeah, of course but what good is it for a non hd unit to blind scan HD signals when one cant see em ;)

Just looking for a dedicated HD receiver that can see HD and move my HH120 just fine with USALS.

I might give it a shot and see if I can still get the 9000 for 40 bones.

I Have Mine slaved to coolsat 5000, whenever I scan a signal on the coolsat that is widescreen but scrambled I then turn on neusat 9000. This set up also gets pbs HD on amc 21 withsound

I got mine cheep, under $100.00 shipped, I have been happy with it, accept for the not manuel PID entry, I have been watch HD and SD feeds most of the evening, the color is great, considering the short comings and draw backs of the other current HD receivers and their cost I think I would buy this unit again.

I am assuming, and you know what that means, that you have this hooked up so you can use both receivers, perhaps not at the same time, anyway how did you do that, I would love to use my SonicView in conjuntion with this unit, but just don't know exactly how to do that.
Thanks

Sat lnb to coolsat lnb input then loop out to 2nd receiver. 2nd receiver will see whatever polarity coolsat is seeing. You can then use blindscan on coolsat to find signals. Put coolsat on desired signal, push ok button on coolsat remote. you can see coordinates to enter into second receiver. Easy with a little practice.

Ok thanks, I linked the receivers, I have a Neusat 9000HD that I have linked to the antenna, then I have the second receiver, a SonicView that I have slaved to the pass through from the Neusat, if I turn off the Neusat and use the SonicView the picture kind of looks like you are looking through a nylon stocking, not soft but cross hatched, also if I have the power off on the SonicView receiver, not the main power switch on the back when I watch a program on the Neusat the signol drops out then comes back in and out, if I turn off the SonicView with the back switch every thing works fine, I am assuming the SonicView is still passing voltage to the LNB, is there a way to correct both of these problems?
Thanks
Terry

Has anyone tried Galaxy 19 with the Neusat HD 9000? Does it work? does blind scan work with Galaxy 19?
