NFL Videos: Pre WK 1: Tebow highlights

It's the second pass here, pretty clear on the replay the WR had to slow down, he got his hands on it so it should have been cought, but he underthrew it... 6 points if he didnt lead him out of bounds and had put the ball in front of him rather than try and hit lob it to the back of his head.

Unless you think WRs are routinely leaning backwards and catching balls with their facemasks...

It was a perfect throw, he did not have to slow down. I have no idea what you are looking at. Over the shoulder catches are routine in the NFL.

Cy,
Are you IN Pittsburgh ?
The rains last night looked torrential.

Lions did not look bad at all.
I thought Stafford did his thing, I think he's gonna be REAL good.

Steeler's first string Offense played half way thru the 2nd, I don't know for sure when the Lions moved to second string ...

It missed me.:D

First string except O line didn't play long.

One thing that may play out well for Tebow: he's in the AFC West, a division known in recent years for shaky, leaky defenses.

It's not like he's facing the monster defenses of the SEC.

YouTube - Tim Tebow's first rushing touchdown! [HD]

For all those who said "He can do that in college but hell never do it in the NFL..."

Did you forget the  after that statement?

You want the guy to succeed, I get that. But he did this against a 2nd/3rd string defense with :03 seconds left in the 4th quarter of a preseason game down by 16 points.

Let me see him do that against the Giants, or Steelers, or Ravens, or Vikings.. or a first string for that matter.

Buffalo Buffoons- The First Edition

For this season, I will be doing a segment on the Bills ala 'Daze of our Lions.'

(HD's title suggestion of Buffalo Buffoons was the winner)

I know preseason games don't count or are taken seriously, but seriously... 42 allowed against a Redskins team that was laughably bad on offense last year? The Bills made that popgun DC offense look like the Saints!

As if that wasn't bad enough, I find out their leader in sacks, Schoebel, is retiring from football.

Also, I hear that two of the team's running backs- Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch- will be out for a couple of weeks, with Jackson out 4-6 weeks and Lynch out 3-4 weeks.

Just what we need- injuries to the one area I felt good about- the running game.

2 RB's out, a laughably awful popgun pass attack (especially compared to the rest of the AFC East), and a porous defense... my goodness, I think I'm feeling like Wozniak the last few years with a team that can't catch a break.

Hell, the Bills haven't caught a break since the Music City Miracle. Since then, nothing has gone right.

Bill, Sandra, Rey, Hart- as far as I'm concerned, the Bills look like a welcome mat for your teams this year. Playing the NFC and AFC North this year- oh, ye gods.

Tomorrow, in the second edition of Buffalo Buffoons- my breakdown of the Bills schedule.

The Buffalo Bills- REBUILDING FOR A DECADE!

Your up against players that were not even SEC quality in that game.

I know it was preseason and the scrubs are playing. :) but when the comments about tebow were made in the draft threads no one specified if preseason counted or not :)

And besides I'm a homer :)

Mark my words with tebow at the head of the broncos they will do better this year then last. And within 2 seasons they will be real contenders for the superbowl.

This coming from a guy who's been a broncos fan a long time (since draft day 2010) :)

Edelman is a Wes Welker clone! And just think, a year and a half ago he was a college QB!

I think this years Pats receiving corps has a chance to be better than the Moss/Welker/Stallworth/Watson/Brown/Gaffney, etc. group in the record breaking '07 season.

Moss is Moss, Welker is way ahead of schedule in his rehab, Edelman looks like a stud. They've added veterans Alge Crumpler and Tory Holt, and have some impressive young players at both WR and TE.

Kent State has an uncanny ability in turning ex-College QB's into surprise stud NFL athletes. See Josh Cribbs.

Packers are making the Browns look like the Saints.

I know it was preseason, but I was absolutely shocked and amazed at what I saw from my Browns on Saturday!

21 pts against Green Bay's first string defense!
0 penalties committed!
J. Delhomme/ S. Wallace- 10/15, 138 yds, 2TD's

Oh, yeah. We won! In Lambeau Field!

WOW!!!

Steeler's 1st string looked bad.
All three RB's dropped the ball last night.
Offensive line looked like normal, made the Lions D look great.

Dixon looked better than Leftwitch

I know you may think I'm biased, but the Steelers are my pick for biggest disappointment this year.

Wow... for anyone who missed it tonight...

Kinda hate the dimensions of this auto-embedding player. (lol @ 'classless Jets' btw)

I missed that part, was the play blown dead when Eli's helmet came off? I remember that being one of the rule changes this year. Or is it just for the ball carrier?

It is only for the ball carrier, and at that point he was no longer carrying it.

I can see the 'Manning Rule' being made and if the QB losses his helmet....

I missed the whole game, went to an awful buffet with the fam.

Oh and just a head's-up to the rest of the non Cleveland Browns watching NFL crowd...

#43 TJ Ward. Be on the lookout. A hard-hitting rookie safety out of Oregon. Absolutely LOVED what I saw out of him on Saturday!

He's like a bulky version of Troy Palamalu! Check out the highlights from his debut. He was all over the place, both on defense and special teams!

It seems like football players have been losing their helmets a lot this preseason(& also during the current CFL season). It has made me wonder if something is wrong with the chin straps on helmets this year,or if it is some sort of "safety release device." I can't remember if it was one of the preseason games or a CFL game I was watching, but a running back lost his helmet & just kept on running up the middle of the line without it on. You'd think the officials would immediately blow the play dead if a player lost their helmet during the play(whether offensive or defensive player),especially with the emphasis on prevention of head injuries & concussions & now after what happened to Eli Manning.
