I'm fairly new but I can appreciate people not wanting to log in and subject themselves to more spam. Besides the flash-player ads all over the place isn't that how these forums fund themselves?

Being new to the hobby, one may be leery to register. (Who are these guys? Are they legit?) Having the info available without strings attached encourages newbs to delve deeper into non-hack FTA.

Still, knowing what I know, I'm all for locking down feed and back-haul info

I would love to fly him to my house and help me fix my satellite system up but he dont fly. (And I can't find anyone in the area who knows their stuff to help out.)

What is the criteria to be a part of the WUT forum? I have requested access previously and was not approved. I have recently again requested access and my request is pending.

It's an exclusive group. I've requested access a couple of times and been denied. And I've been on here a long time (although I don't post a lot).

No one should be surprised if people go looking for the information elsewhere, be it on Rick's forum or some other site.

Nope wind knocked it out last week. The T Screw coming up bent. Only can pick up one satellite now.

You asked Rick why he doesn't want to do what is best for the FTA hobby. Have you considered that he honestly believes that he already is?

I have many friends in the FTA hobby. We don't all agree about feed posting, it's just that simple. I don't have a problem with it, some of my friends do. But we are still friends. I won't go into the same old justification for my point of view. I just think what I think.

What I take extreme exception to, is that some in the course of this thread have called Rick some pretty bad names. No matter what anyone thinks of Rick's business decisions... he is not a sleezeball or a liar. If Rick says something, it is either true, or at least what he believes to be true. Rick simply doesn't say things that he knows isn't true for any reason... money or otherwise.

Rick is a stand up guy who believes in what he's doing. Many disagree with what he's doing. But there are two sides with different views. Just because he takes an opposing view doesn't make him a money mongering lying sleezeball. If people want to say that he's hurting the hobby... fine. I don't agree, but fine. Everyone is entitled to thier own opinion... right? But saying that he's hurting the hobby is different than mean spirited name calling.

I'm sure I'll be thrown into the "head in the sand" or "Kool-Aid drinking" category by many here. But sometimes that's the price for speaking up.

Thank you you speaking to rick on his forum about the log-in problem.You spelled it out very well and gave it your best shot!im just sorry that rick wouldnt make this small sacrafice.I dont think there is anything more that can be done.In time if anough people boycot his site he may have a change of heart!but i would really hate to do it this way.Take care scott! Stop waiting. The decision has been made. Our hobby will be destroyed by folks that could care less. Its just a matter of time now. Cat's out of the bag, so to speak. All the major networks know about us, and know what to do to stop us. It was a nice ride, while it lasted.
