I seemed to be stumped here, lol, for the first time in a while, with c-band. Trying to get any analog channels on c-band, can't get a hint of a signal on 125, 131,133. I know there were some shopping channels left on 133 not long ago, and I thought the weather channel still had their analog channel going on 131, but now I can't get anything at all on analog, nor VC lock on ESPN/Weather Channel, the only videocipher channels left up there. But even if the VC channels are all gone , I still should be getting something. I connected the IF in back to the digital receivers and I still get good digital video off those satellites. I never heard of this one. I know the modulators aren't dead on 2 c-band IRDS I use, the VC modules were good the last time I checked on the c-band weather channel =I could get a lock/black screen. Any thing I'm forgetting ?

The VC boards are not needed for the ITC analog

Try 99W TP16 Vertical....Shepherds Chapel

couple more
91W TP18 V...Classic Arts
133W TP11 H...EWTN or 17 H..Inspirational
131W TP7 V....CSPAN

is the polarity right?

I hope everybody gets a good laugh out of this one! Put it in the dumbest things you ever did forum, lol. I finally figured it out>I had pulled the wrong cable off the diseqc switch, and connected it to the analog receiver. I swore it was Port 1, the c-band 10' dish, but it seems I had replaced the connector on it awhile back and forgot (can't always go by what you 'remember' they look like). What I was actually connecting to the GI 650 was the c-band fixed dish I have on 58W, which has no VC 2 and probably no analog either, haha. Once I got it right, everything worked as before. Why do they put the port numbers soooooooo tiny on these diseqc switches!! Merry Christmas everybody, and Happy New Year.

G-5 ch 3 at 125 W Shop NBC was the 1st feed I ran across when I fired up my old C-band dish the other day. It was the 1st signal that old dish had seen in 15+ years. It was great to get it back going and really cool to go from that old sparklie signal to the crystal clear digital stuff now days.

If I don't replace the battery in my 922 receiver, I know a dead battery means I won't have access to any digital channels. But can I still use the receiver to find wild analog feeds, if there are any?

I still see analog live interviews, probably because of the lower delay than digital.

I'd say it's because of the idiots who work at tv stations. For the network/syndication feeds, they are good since receivers usually are programmed already or the network/syndicator gives great tuning instructions. For other feeds, analog just makes it easier to tune - the "lowest common denominator" so to speak.

My local station was supposed to broadcast the local college's men's basketball game last season from Hawaii and the game never aired locally because the local station couldn't find Galaxy 18 Ku-band and tune the feed. I found the feed with about 5 mins to air and watched it until nearly the end of the 1st half when the feed was pulled after the local tv station gave up.

Anyone else miss watching Star Trek a week in advance from what everyone was watching. ;)

I used to just turn the VCR on and record whatever than go back and see what it found.

Or the news people adjusting their makeup and picking their nose : / on the feed they thought no one was watching. lol

Still happens on analog occasionally. I saw many live interviews on analog not too long ago, but they're all one sided, you can't hear what questions they're being asked.

Hmm...I need to dig my analog out of the closet. I wish FTA receivers could receive analog too...

I tossed all my decoders. : /

Is the information in lyngsat.com up-to-date ? There are few satellites that are still broadcasting analog transmissions. :)
