Dish Network is a big sponsor of the Tennessee Vols and I noticed tonight their running commercials claiming every game and every touchdown in HD. Well what about this weekend? The vols are playing on ESPNU. So no touchdowns in HD this weekend. That's FALSE ADVERTISING. Normally I have several friends over for the Vols games, but this weekend we'll be going to another friends house that has Direct just so we can watch in Hd. Don't get me wrong. I really like my Dish service for the most part. But it ticks me off that they can claim whatever they want just to increase sales whether it's true or not.

That really is misleading and false. I can't imagine why they would do it.
It was done with Baseball all season, advertised games in HD yet joined games in HD in the 5,6,7, inning...sometimes never...they said it's about band something, space, whatever, never the less it seems to go on.

They forgot about the little problem with ESPNU........ Shouldn't be saying all in HD, I have to agree.

It says every TD in HD, but it doesn't explicitly say you'll be able to see it in it! Technically, every game you attend in person is in HD, and you know some slick lawyer would use a similar argument!

In Dish's defense, they had no idea when making that ad, that the Vols would suck so bad that ESPN would put them on ESPNU...

but the 1st game (against Montana) wasn't even available in HD at all (the backhaul feed was SD....) so you couldnt see "Every TD in HD" ;)
