What your saying is that the REST of the team sucks and the without him, they would be nothing? Right... gimme a f%^&ing break....

LMAO! Wow....

Erm, no. Nice leap there.

What I'm saying is: You can't reference a "cloud" on one hand, and the "great story" on the other, without noting that AT LEAST ONE player is definitely part of both.

The "cloud" is MOSTLY on the school and the football team. Your "atleast one player" is part of the same type of ASSUMPTION as the original clowns that ASSUMED guilt with the Yahoo story came out. It involves ONE player and coaches and staff that is NO LONGER there.

The GREAT story is the record and where they are in the standings in the ACC. It IS a great story confirmed by most of THE COUNTRY. The problem here is since some "prominant" teams are not in the lime light as much.. well, comments like yours seem to always come out. I get it...

...you are entitled to YOUR opinion.

Man, you're really reaching. My "AT LEAST ONE" and your "ONE" are equivalent, in that they involve the same current player, which was my whole point.

As for the standings, congrats, Miami has managed to go undefeated in the weakest ACC in recent memory (4th in conference RPI, despite dook and Miami being 1 and 2 in the RPI!). This is also a team that has lost at Florida Gulf Coast, lost by 19 at home to Arizona, and also lost to Indiana St. Forgive me if I'm not bowing down.

ANYONE that knows me knows I don't give a ratz ass about conference...but don't be pissed that the Big East will be the equivalent of Conference USA now that the some of the established teams are leaving to.... OMG, the ACC.

I will stop here in there conversation because it's sounding more and more of a fan of a team that is not very relevant this year.

Wow. Wow.

You're the one who brought up the ACC, Mr. "I don't give a ratz ass about conference" Really?

Miami could be in the MWC or PAC12, and my statement still stands. With those OOC losses, and the ACC's conference profile, it's just not that impressive.

Well...again, YOUR opinion is dully noted. Most to ALL that cover basketball do not agree with your stance...but it is what it is.

Kentucky bounces back with the win over Vanderbilt. :D

I never did expect this Kentucky team to vie for a National Championship. My expectation was a Final 8 showing but now that looks as if that was an overly optimistic view. This is not a very good team. After losing their best player, their warrior, Noel, you expect some guys to step up. Goodwin reminds me to much to Rondo. Selfish, does not play for the team, and can nothing but drive. No jump shot whatsoever. Stein has been OK and he had a pretty good game last night. The biggest disappointment has been Poythress. He just does not look interested most of the time. I hope Goodwin leaves for the NBA but in all honesty, none of them are ready with the maybe exception of Noel. This is a great example of why you need some upper class-man leadership.

I agree with what you said. Only thing I will add is that Harrow does the same thing that Goodwin does with driving and just throwing the ball up in the air no matter how many people are on him.

Shocker, Miami loses by 15 at hideous wake forest, where their coach is being run out of town.

Too bad, I was looking forward for a 1/16 upset, but now they won't get a 1 seed.

Wait.... your Puppies lost to a awful St. John's team and BARELY got this same Wake Forrest team.... and your talking smack?!

How surprising....

The game Saturday of Kentucky vs. Missouri was one of the most exciting games, and nerve racking, I have ever been too. Kentucky really needed that win to have any shot at getting into the NCAA tournament.

We're not an undefeated team in conference, either?

We also beat Syracuse, which i thought you were actually a fan of?

That was a good game. Tough conference games are always the best.

I AM a Syracuse fan...they are MY team...but anyone that does not recognize a good story to a school that has always been mostly football and baseball, to suddenly be have an amazing season...AND it IS recognized as a the biggest story in college basketball this year...either has issues or jealous.

I hate Duke with a passion...but I respect what they have done.

And yes, you DID beat Syracuse. Nice win. Congrats.

In all honesty, I think my school's story is better.

- We have a coach and players not implicated at all in any of the "transgressions" of the past (not to mention we've been punished TWICE now for the same problem, but i digress...)
- We have no true center, and barely a PF
- They have no reason to play as hard as they are, with no postseason to enter

...and we sit on the precipice of a 20+ win season in a very good conference. Ollie has these guys playing their hearts out.
