It's become apparent the finale will come down to a battle between Michael and James, Good vs Evil.

Has there ever been a series finale in which all of the good guys or main characters are killed off?
Possibly Angel. The last scene was the 6 of them against 10000 demons, and they said this is the end and faded out.
