I'm getting a disc read error message and a BIOHD-1 error message. Not good!

Changed the title to say "hdd". I thought it was High Definition. LOL

Maybe another clue: Regardless of which drive I try to boot from I get a disc read error, but they both pass a SMART test. The primary drive takes a while to pass the short test. It hangs on the last 1%, but it does pass eventually.

HP m8407c. I replaced the hard drive today and all seems to be well.

avg1joe, turns out that driver update is only for 32 bit systems, mine is a 64 bit. Thanks anyway.

Edit: I found the 64 bit version and I am installing it now. I hope it works!

Re-edit: Nope, still getting the disc read error. I guess the hard drive is toast.
