AZBOX Premium Plus HD - Need help with WIFI

I'll get back to this problem later in the week, busy today. What is the function of the 'data reset' in "SETTINGS"?

the Data Reset menu is where you have the option to revert all settings to factory defaults including erasing all channels and satellite settings (i.e Factory setting), delete all channels while preserving antenna setup along with all other settings and delete satellite channels allows you to erase all channels from a specific satellite.

Before entering the menu, the pin code must first be entered which is 0000 by default.

I don't think that this will help my problem. All my channel, antenna, and setup information in the SETTINGS menu is wiped clean out every time that I power off the receiver. What would cause this to happen?

Have you been doing a proper shutdown everytime you turn off the receiver? If not, then chances are your settings file has become corrupted so you will have to format the application area, reinstall the firmware via USB and redo all of your settings. However if you have an earlier settings backup before this issue started happening, you may be able to use it and avoid having to recreate your settings.

Yes, I have been doing a proper shutdown. We do have power outages here from time to time. I have previously formatted the application area, and reinstalled firmware via USB. And - of course - redone the settings. Perhaps I should do the reformat again and reinstall the firmware. Redoing the settings is not so much a problem, as I am well practiced at setting up my main channels and have the information on paper now...
Thanks for your attention to my problem!!

I'm assuming you loaded the 9.5402 firmware. I had the same problem when I loaded that on my elite (no internet connectivity with a wired connection). Its possible that there is something missing in that firmware that existed in a previous version (after all its only a patch) that you removed when you formatted the application area. Try installing a previous version and see if that solves the problem. Maybe 9.5307 0r 9.5308 and format the application area again. If that works for you, then install the 9.5402 patch over it.

mmewrench - I will try that - It seems to make sense. I have 5308, so I will go back to that and work forward again. Probably won't get that done today, but soon.
Thanks,

I understand how you could be confused with the firmware files using the name "patch" but actually, no firmware files are preserved when updating the firmware except settings and the channel list. However if you format the application area, these files are deleted and factory defaults are installed with the new firmware.

I HAVE IT WORKING AGAIN!!!!!! I followed this process:
Formatted the Application Area
Reloaded 9.5309 firmware over the 9.5402.
Rebooted
Reset my Settings, and the wireless connected immediately going through the setup.
Reset my antenna, TP and USALS settings
Scanned the TPs that I wanted
Everything working OK now, I think....

I don't think I will touch it for awhile. :)
I think that I may have a bad download or install on the 9.5402 firmware that I was using.

Im not confused at all. Things don't always work as they are supposed to. Water will even flow uphill (on a windy day). That solution worked for me, and it appears it worked for Migold also.

I don't think you had a bad download of the 5402 firmware as you stated that wireless networking was working fine until that incident with the MAZ software right? If this is the case then it's actually MAZ that caused the configuration file(s) in your receiver to become corrupted and reformatting the application area fixed the issue by replacing these files with factory default settings. You can now safely upgrade to 0.9.5402 again without any issues as your configuration files are now clean.

One must be very careful when using MAZ as there are a few bugs with this software which can corrupt settings files when editing them using the software. This is due to the fact that MAZ hasn't been updated for a while now and I do believe there was a slight change in configuration file format with firmware versions that came out after the last MAZ version was released. Because of this, it is highly recommended to use AzBox Edit instead of MAZ to do the actual editing of your channel list and only use MAZ to transfer the channel file to your receiver.

I tried to search for "AzBox Edit", but I am getting a 'Timed Out' message. Where can I get the "AzBox Edit"? I have ACC.exe but not the "AzBox Edit".
Thanks,
