possible satellite launch 87w

Telesat (Canada) our neighbors to the north, but its not coming in very well at the moment.
I get two channels at 12224 H 8000 on 87w Ku. That's a little out of normal range but thats what the little X2 receiver
is showing....looks like its being streamed to internet and re=uplinked. Some blocking in the video.

edit: they're showing the Loral production video now-its Anik G1

This is old news-must be somebody showing video of the launch back in April. G1 is co-located with Anik F1 at 107.3W

Yep, and G1 has a much tighter footprint to Canada than F1

Was a little unusual. I never could get any audio on it. Fooled me-thought it was something live.

Another unusual aspect is if it is Telesat doing it, wouldn't you think they'd do it on their own 'bird'?

Yes it is. Oddly, the bird that the broadcast was about supposedly has extended band coverage...

It was probably from Loral , or something else, there was a logo up on it sometimes that said, I believe, "ILS" . Perhaps the international launch service, from Kazikstan or however its spelled.
