Having watched 2 buckeye games in there entiriety (v mich and v mich st) yes I do got it figured out. I gave the buckeyes a pass V Mich because it was a rivalry.. But Mich St just put a hurting on them.

This is the D that we've watched thru stretches this year and it pisses me off because it's obvious to me and all the Buckeye fans that watch that when the defensive backs play 10 yards off recvrs, they are never gonna win.

When they played very good D this year they played press D at of close tom the line of scrimmage .... all night they played nothing but stupid zone and off recvrs.

When I saw that, I knew they were gonna have trouble.

BCS Bowl picture is interesting now (especially with Northern Illinois losing, and freeing up an at large bid):

BCS Championship - FSU vs Auburn
Rose Bowl - Stanford vs Michigan St
Orange Bowl - 1st choice vs 3rd choice
Sugar Bowl - 2nd choice vs 4th choice
Fiesta Bowl - Baylor vs 5th choice
Automatic At Large Qualifier - UCF (likely going to the Feista Bowl)

Question is, does the Orange Bowl take Alabama or Ohio St. as the first at large pick? They'll probably take Clempson as their other pick
If the Orange takes Alabama, the Sugar can't have an SEC team, so do they pick up Ohio St.? If so, who do they pick to play them? If not, what 2 teams do they take?

My guess, Orange takes Alabama & Clempson, and the Sugar takes Ohio St. & Oregon (though I could see them taking Louisville instead of Oregon).

I read somewhere earlier in the week that if OSU lost, they would go to the Orange and I think they were thinking it would be against Clemson.

MSU had no pressure on them tonight and it showed, they Win and they go to the Rose, lose and they go to the Rose.

Be interesting on who they decide, both teams are 1 loss, with Alabama likely to be ranked higher. It depends on who the Orange thinks will bring more people (money) to Miami.

Usually OSU goes, BECAUSE of all the fans they have that travel ... fans traveling means money for the Bowl game ... also remember that the Bowls don't necessarily pick the team that they think are the next best, but the one that brings the people that spend the money.

I would rather they take the next best team available in thier eyes, but money does come into it.

Eddie George is saying that it might be the Buckeyes and Oregon in the Orange.

Bama and Oklahoma

Stanford and Michigan State (this one is definite.)

These are thoughts, nothing definite.

Florida State and Auburn (is Auburn definitely in, for sure ?)

Hold your head up buckeyes fans, going undefeated twice in the regular season is nothing to be sad about. You will still most likely also go BCS bowling. Just remember it could be worse, you could be FLA right now...

Agreed. Im just as guilty, but we all get caught up being homers that we dont acknowledge what teams do. Its a sad state that fans relish on a team with ONE loss. Many of the 80's and 90's stuff was one and two loss championships.

Why must you run this BS ?

Come on Insider, your better than that.

I'm just still bitter, last time he lost a big game he immediately went to the hospital, then quit on the team saying he couldn't stay because of medical reasons. Then he came back then left again. Said he was done coaching wanted to spend more time with family. Year later he's back coaching..

And he's spending time with his family whenever possible ...

He's gone to see his daughter numerous times that I know of this year and the rest is local ... (one other might be out of town, but I'm not sure).

If they only could find a solid Defensive Backfield, they would be on the level of the other top teams.

Hopefully they see the handwritting and get a new D co ordinater finally.

I wonder how long before Urban Meyer is in the hospital...

I was so happy to see the liar and coward lose tonight.

But, you are right I hope he didn't suffer another mystery heart condition, what an effing fraud he is. I'm glad he got his tonight after the cupcake run he chose to partake in.

:rolleyes

What a sentimental post, it almost makes me loathe Urban and his big mouth wife less.

Well I went to bed 24-17 thinking OSU had it in hand. woke up and the SEC is back in the BCS title game.
