You could add Foles to that list. That said,my personal opinion on Manziel,he is Colt McCoy 2.0.He could be a decent QB but taking him in the first round is a huge risk.
yes Foles would be another.
Manziel is better than Colt, imo never thought he was our fix, how much better is the real question.
but in our position we have to take one every year. that's where we have failed by not doing so.

Sounds like Jim Caldwell has had a good interview, supposedly Matt Stafford was in the interview and Mr. Caldwell reviewed all his throws in 2013 with technology and offered feedback. Not sure stafford appreciated that as he appears to be someone who takes no blame and does not like to get no blame

Well...my Raiders have the 5th overall pick. Rumor is Clowney from South Carolina. But they will have, according to most, the most cap space in the history of the NFL. We shall see what happens.

The Lions desperately need to draft a new team owner! :) Will the NFL revoke the club's franchise and put them up for auction after 50+ years of patheticry?

FYI: Patheticry is indeptitude to the point of bringing your fans to tears.

Blake Bortles

moving up on some of the experts boards.

Jadeveon Clowney over rated ? not in my top 5 today.

Bortles stock went up big time after his bowl game. QBs are going to go early this year, at least 5 in the top 10 I think. I still think Clowney is a stud. He may not have had an amazing year but I think it was because he took it easy so he wouldn't get hurt so he could be ready for the NFL. He planned all year to go to the NFL. I know I wouldn't mind having on my team.

Maybe the NFL will purchase them, much like MLB did previously ...

Lions fans can only hope.

If he took this year "OFF", to stay healthy, what make you think NFL Teams would want a player like that, that doesn't play all the time ?

I think he lacks the motivation NFL players should have.

Can't wait for the first time in the NFL he gets blown up because he "Took it easy" on a play.

Some may look at it that way too. He has a ton of talent though and you know he'll go early first round.

Seems like Bridgewater, Bortles, Manziel, Carr and then McCarren.

Can you do that in Football ?
Watching him play it sure looked like he did. If the play was to the opposite side he just stood and watched.

Still a top 12 guy good pick for........if he's there

Was just checking multiple mocks and they have him projected 2nd now. That seems high but he'll go top 10 for sure unless he has a bad combine.

I was reading on article where the guy thought the Bears could get Georgia's QB in the 3rd round. Sounds dumb at first but the more I though about it the more I liked it. He's a talented QB who will drop in the draft do to injury. If the Bears could get him late he would be a great QB to bring up slowly in the system behind Cutler. I can't imagine there being any better QBs available that late in the draft.
