A few months back i had direct tv come out and install 2 new dvrs and a wireless cinema kit. I did NOT opt for the whole home dvr service. Everything worked fine.

Recently I upgraded my internet service to uverse internet which came with a new router. Now I cannot get my receiver to connect to the new router.
My CCK has a solid green light for power and flashing yellow for network.

When I do a repeat network set-up it says a problem was detected.

Ip address: xxxxx - ok
Subnet mask: xxxxx- ok
Default Gateway: blank
DNS: blank
Network: Not connected (9)
Internet: Not connected (13)

Result code: 86-771

I've tried googling the issue but cant find anything that has helped. Any idea what I can try next?

I should also mention i've tried resetting the cck, the router, and the receiver. I've also tried pressing the wps on both the cck and router. Nothing happens.
It seems to me the receiver isnt/cant detect the wireless router.

The cck is already programed thats why. After it gives you error it should give you option to connect again. Cant remember the option it gives you but it needs to be reconfigured thats all.

Ok, new ISP setup step-by-step:

1. On the back of the CCK-W, find the reset button and hold it in for 10 secs (don't cheat)
2. After it completely reboots, go to the settings menu, find your way in to network setup and restore defaults.
3. After restore defaults finishes, repeat network setup.
4. ???
5. Profit.

Yes, it gives me the option to "Try Again"

I did that 3 times in a row and keep coming up with the same error mentioned above.

Around the same time I got the new router, I had disconnected the CCK to move some furniture around, however I'm almost positive I've hooked it back up the same way. I have the dish which connects to a SWM 4 way splitter outside the house.
A coax cable comes off that and comes into the house where it connects to a "SWM ODU Only" power box in the jack labeled "Power to SWM". The other jack labeled "Signal to IRD" connects to the "Towards LNB" on the CCK.
Then coax from the "SAT recvr" jack on the CCK to the satellite 1 in on the receiver. And lastly the ethernet cable from the CCK to the top ethernet port on the back of the receiver.

Will try that now, stand by.

One more thing, is there a deca (black or white with two lights on it, its installed between the receiver and the cable comming from dish.) behind your hr21? How many Receivershave and how many are DVR and what model. Reason i ask is because the CCK can only be connected either thru coax or ethernet but not both,

There is no deca on my setup. I have 2 receiver DVR's both are HR21-200 models.

Ok, you have to bypass the coax. Remove the coax cable comming from the dish from the cck and commect directly to receiver and leave ethernet connected from cck to receiver and do the repeat network setup again.

Yes, it just gives me the options to try again, connect later, or advanced set-up. As well as offer tips like "make sure wires and power cords are securely connected" etc
