I don't, actually. No Roku, BluRay lacks it, no smart TV, no more PC at home. Besides, though, having to constantly change inputs should be an unnecessary pain. And even so, I'm not looking for a streaming source. I want something akin to the Amazon Unbox player, that can download the video to a hard drive on a slower connection rather than have to stream it in real time.
Truthfully,as far as Aereo is concerned,it was never offered in my area. The closest it came was Atlanta,GA,or at least it was supposed to come there. So it's very hard for me to complain about losing a service I never had. I believe a lot of people feel the same as me because Aereo was in such limited areas. Alot of people in my position will ask,"what's all of the fuss about?" All of the speculations,to include my own wild speculations,amount to nothing over a product that only a few ever had. It's a sad day,but I don't know what I'm missing or lost & that's the sad epitaph for Aereo.
I know that Aereo was only offered in select markets.

If you know your conspiracy theories,it isn't about who voted for or against,it's all about rigging the necessary votes. The players are given their scripts on how they are supposed to vote,with so & so scripted to vote yes,& so & so scripted to vote no. The script writer only makes sure that the correct amount of votes are scripted according to how he chooses for the decision to go.

Following SCOTUS backstabbed Aereo with their controversial 6-3 verdict yesterday and siding the greedy corrupted broadcasters and the NAB. The blood is still in the hands of the broadcasters (including Les Moonves of CBS), The NAB's Smith & Wharton for slaying Aereo at SCOTUS yesterday which was on the 5th anniversary of Michael Jackson's untimely passing.
I still blame broadcasters like Moonves, The NAB's Gordon Smith and Dennis Wharton for ending Aereo and cord-cutters do too. The NAB killed the American Dream. That's for damn sure! Susan Lucci blamed ex-ABC Daytime Executive Brian Frons aka Soap Killer (and fans too) for axing AMC and OLTL in 2011...Different story!
Unfortunately it's the law and SCOTUS must follow the rules...Very sad indeed.
I've watched a rerun of The People's Court earlier and the losing defendant said Good guys never win, I was being one of them. Chet Kanojia was one of them and Aereo too. They lost the war! Sad ending to a saga!
Say people watch local news on the TV station's website. I did for out-of-market news from Charleston, SC like http://www.counton2.com or http://www.abcnews4.com and http://www.live5news.com as examples.
Here's the Pros and Cons!
PROS: It's an actual newscast, weather and sports.
CONS: You NEVER see actual local commercials, network promos, and other good parts. Instead you'll see the dreadful BLACK SCREEN and silent too or Weather Map during commercial breaks on live steam simulcasts of local news seen on TV. It's NOT THE SAME as you actually watched it on TV. Another example WCSC 5 in Charleston, SC don't stream sports segments on internet simulcasts of 6 and 11pm news because of so-called RIGHTS BS.
Before rival FilmOnX was forced to shutdown by TPTB of the broadcasters (including the Honchos at The NAB) and 4th Circuit Judge thanks to the injunction by that wicked judge, I did enjoy watching the Washington, DC feeds (WRC 4, WTTG 5, WJLA 7, WUSA 9, etc.) But unfortunately, all good things must come to an end! Sad indeed!

While I agree that this decision sucks, a video with 100 views is hardly viral. My 9yo daughter got as many with her animal jam video.
The Supreme Court only ruled under the current copyright laws. Congress is free to change the copyright laws as it sees fit to explicitly allow services such as Aereo or clarify what cloud based services can do and not, but considering the big media companies who either own the content and/or the big broadcast networks also own most of our lawmakers, we won't see much change in the current copyright laws for a long and, perhaps, only strengthening the media owners current position. For this ruling under current copyright laws, the Supreme Court viewed Aereo's methods of providing the local channels as no different than cable or sat, while the lower courts (plural) did view them as different than cable or sat.
Who cares about Michael Jackson, a good person died that day in Farrah Fawcett.
Aereo pushed the fuzzy envelope of "individual equipment" and "private performance" with their dime-sized antennas and a receiver with storage for every subscriber. They claimed the retransmission of the received signals via the Internet was exempt from the current laws covering cable and satellite providers so Aereo wouldn't have to pay money to the local stations whose signals they were receiving and passing on.

DishSubLA, Damn Congress needs to changed the Damned Outdated Copyright Laws IMHO, I also agree with you. But unfortunately The Corrupted NAB, politicians who with the NAB's side, and broadcast network executives like CBS' Les Moonves for example loves unfair outdated silly laws and prefers to live in the past! Damn it, it makes me sick and burns me up real badly. Copyright is also a controversial issue.

The business model is totally OUTDATED damn it. No the NAB Don't Give a Damn about low and middle class who can't get a decent OTA digital TV signal and can't afford Pay-TV (like Cable/Telco/Satellite) and it's a ROUGH ECONOMY we are in right now. Imagine greedy Gordon Smith and dreadful Dennis Wharton (NAB Honchos) singing We're In The Money. For God's sake, that's sick!
