Well,Mike Ditka SAID there were other ways you could get back at Suh,but I doubt this was what he meant. Will the Lions try to resign both Suh & Fairley, one of the two,or neither of the two for next season?
I would resign Fairley. But I would let Suh go and find a replacement with the money. In the big game it seems he always does something stupid against the Pack. Frankly he shouldnt have played yesterday. If a regular season game he would have been suspended for that bologna against Rodgers.

Really though, OPI was far worse than any DPI on the controversial play.

Lions laying down in the second half and only scoring 3 points as the Cowboys finally put long drive together was far greater a reason they lost that game then anything the refs did.

wow there is a man of intelligence in this forum after all.

That's not OPI. That's not a face masking foul.

It's holding/illegal contact 1st, than its DPI. After that it's a personal foul unsportsman like conduct on #88. Lions should've had the ball 1st and 10 on the Cowboys 13 up 3 with 7 minutes to go. 13 yards to put the game away.

Dean Blandino and his crews are the worst thing about this league.

That said, it doesn't excuse the Lions punter shanking a 10 yard punt giving dallas great field position. Or the Lions not being able to protect Stafford on the final drive. 2 strip sacks in inexcusable.

More fuel to add to the conspiracy theory bonfire....

The NFL admitted to the Detroit Lions on Tuesday that officials missed a blatant hold onNdamukong Suh on a crucial fourth-down conversion from Tony Romo to Jason Witten with six minutes left in Sunday's wild-card game.

The conversion happened after the disputed Brandon Pettigrew play and before the Cowboys' go-ahead touchdown.

Had holding been called, it would have put the Cowboys in a fourth-and-16 hole on Detroit's side of the field. Dallas likely would have punted and Detroit still would have had the lead.

I think I remember the play. If it's the play in question Suh lined up on the right edge of the DL and was literally tackled and forced behind Romo. It stood out to me because it happened on the side where the umpire should have had a clear view of it.

The polar vortex came too early:(,it wasn't supposed to show up until the Dallas Cowboys-Green Bay Packers game:). Damn, the NFL will DO ANYTHING to insure that the Cowboys win, even control the weather if they have too, what next? If the Cowboys defeat the Packers,& meet the Seahawks,is the NFL going to use biological warfare to cause ALL Seahawks fans to have laryngitis;)? Damn NFL!!!*

*Shout out to all the conspiracy theorists who believe that the Lions-Cowboys game was rigged/fixed to insure a Cowboy victory.

It should have been first down and no reason to hold SUh then and therefore no punt. This is absolute nonsense with the press and Lions fans fixated on influencing the refs for the next game with the Packers. But no one takes the time to look at the penalties that should have been called against the Lions. Perhaps they may have never led at all in that game if called properly. Who knows? But get the F*** over it! and stop all the crying!

Lions fans ?
Lions won't be playing the Packers, why should anything they have to say effect the Pack and Cowboys ?
