I was making comments earlier about this, but couldn't come up with the right word. "Actionable" is perfect.
But it's not about Dish, what we are objecting to is the callousness of Fox to demand an increase for FS1 and FXX as part of the deal. Terms were largely agreed to for Fox News. Dish has a contract for FS1 and FXX that does not expire for some time. THIS IS WHAT THE ISSUE IS. It has nothing to do with Fox News, per se. It has to do with the UNETHICAL, GREEDY, ARROGANT ACTIONS by Fox. This is the issue.
Shows which direction the tide is going. Fox is clearly getting hammered on it's ratings, and thus its advertisers, over this. Plus next week do I have to sit through all this b.s. by Fox in the middle of the NFC championship game? Crap. Fox can stuff it.
I seen Fox advertising on FXX telling Dish subscribers to switch providers to get Fox News back.
No it wasn't the graphics are at least look still on the Fox servers.

Allowing one contract to be breached in order to resolve a separate contract would be a VERY bad precedent.
If Fox thinks they can breach their FS1/FXX contract to get this one resolved, they are sorely mistaken.

I agree that Dish did not charge one dime when they added a channel in the middle of the year. I did not sign a contract that says they will add channels. But I did sign a contract that said I would receive Fox News. Right now I am paying for something that I contracted for that I am not getting. I hope this is settled soon.
Interesting take on the "censorship" charge by Fox in their ads over the weekend. Seems like it may be backfiring to a degree.

If they were to agree to the price increase on channels already agreed upon in an existing contract (which they won't and shouldn't) then..... "We changed our mind again, we want more money again for the other channels after we raised it once because a contract for another channel came due".

Basically a corporate hostage standoff.....But yet it is capitalism and that's how the game is played....That's why the die hard Fox viewer should just sit down and stand in line....Who is the one entity that would have the power to fix or regulate all these disputes? The one thing they hate the most....

This is what's interesting about this,say I have several channels and I am renewing their contracts,now if I am a willing participate to tell them either pay my price,I want, or I will do everything in my power to hurt your business,there is a word for this in the dictionary and for individuals this would be illegal to do this,but I guess for corporations it's must be different.
Now if those other channels Fox is trying to change,if they disappear from Dish's lineup without Dish's approval, then I would imagine that would be a breach of contract.

I am going to watch the NFC championship live. Fox is going to insert this B.S. in there. The fact that Fox is resorting to this shows pretty much they are losing the battle.
