Media-General Stations Adding Ion in Some Markets

Thats correct, oh and I know none of your stations are owned by Scripps but their stations get Laff, Cozi, Escape..
oh well. I know with the owners we have subs will be few and far between. The other drawback is while Minneapolis has a bunch of low powered stations (technically there are 7 but 2 seem to never be on the air) and most are owned by religious networks. Univision is owned by someone other than the network and we have one station owned by DTV America (so options are limited)

Yeah your right. Milwaukee got the best diversity with their stations and who owns them. Still I am proud of what media general has done for us the last couple of weeks.

Ummmmm try again. There is no "hint" for either ones.

I guess you didnt read what a couple folks posted previously

Once you get the actual info and you see nobody else has posted it then that's fine. What they can or can do with no proof doesn't make the matter better

I keep hidden channels on RabbitEars to make adding things easier when things are announced. Many of them are never used. Just playing wait and see.

I usually remove them from the update feed when I add them and forgot this time. They're gone now.

I was wonderin why the 31 Three Angels Broadcasting low power stations being sold to DTV America Corp hadnt been listed yet. Thanks for clearing that up.

Thats like me posting that KLFY is getting Cozi on 10.2, Comet on katc 3.3, the katz diginets, decades, movies, decades, get going to the Delta Stations, and Nexstar launching Buzzr on fox 15. That would irritate some people on here, first of all we have no knowledge all this oldies will launch on these stations, secondly the station or the owner wont tell you of it comes or not. All I know garaunteed is the Delta stations but unless I see CONCRETE evidence I'm not gonna post it. This is what you doing with the ion stations. Save yourself some trouble, wait till you see the facts.

Got another email from MG (The Corporate Communications Director, Courtney) The 10.2 might not be off the air long. She says that MG is exploring other options for the 10.2 as well as other stations (I am sure) that ION is by itself with. With that I kinda figured ION wasn't the actual LWN replacement. However I'm watching it a lot.

Now I been doing good but I will post this, and this maybe true or here say

Here is the thing and I will say this anyway (WHICH I REALLY DO NOT WANT TO) some follower off the TEE VEE GUYD FB page posted he emailed MG and they were looking at an agreement with Weigel Subchannels as replacement which is either Decades or Movies or for some H&I. I don't see MG agreeing to fill up the open subchannels with Cozi or the KATZ channels as they already made that with several of their stations already. Could happen who knows. All I know is we are at least getting something in the future. The rest well it is what it is....

Could ION be coming to Albuquerque NM and/or Jackson MS next? RabbitEars has hints of a WJTV 12.4 and KRQE 13.2
That .4 issue has become a nightmare......Honestly I do not see Media General adding ION on the dreaded .4 channel on WJTV. If ION does get added to the Jackson Market, a possibility is Antenna getting knocked off the Channel 12 lineup (You already have the major market cw as the .2 so that stays) and well then you have to only hope Hearst or Raycom picks it up on their stations (WAPT and or the WDBD and WLOO)

Could be wrong but I can't see Media adding a .4 to anything....

All that has happened is Ion is being added in markets that don't have it. Nothing about anything else being added.
They may not add anything to the areas that already have an Ion affiliate.
I am glad you mentioned this because I find out today Ion is NOT the livewell replacement and I posted on this thread that they are looking for a subchannel for KLFY's 10.2:)

Ion being added to WBDT-DT3 (CW main, Bounce -2) in Dayton, OH apparently today

Another MG station

Incidentally, Channel 26 was once an ION/PAX O&O.

From Wikipedia:

In the mid-1990s, Abry Communications (which had purchased WRGT-TV's owner, Act III Broadcasting) approached MVCT with a proposal to manage WTJC for eighteen hours a day. MVCT declined and chose instead to sell the station to Paxson Communications in 1995. Paxson kept a similar lineup for WTJC, airing religious programming in early mornings, infomercials for most of the day and worship music overnight. In January 1998, WTJC's call sign was changed to WDPX (for Dayton PaX). Accordingly, later that year, the station became a charter affiliate of Pax (now Ion Television).

In summer 1999, Paxson sold the station to ACME Communications, which dropped most Pax programming for a primary affiliation with The WB, along with syndicated programming; the previous WB affiliate was WUCT-LP (now WRCX-LP). ACME also changed WDPX's call sign to the current WBDT. WBDT maintained a secondary affiliation with Pax until mid-2004 at the latest, airing its primetime lineup (Touched by an Angel, Diagnosis: Murder, Weakest Link, etc.) on weekday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon and weekend late nights from midnight to 4 a.m.

ummm ok. What does that have to do with MG adding Ion to some stations? That's nice there was a partial Ion/PAX affiliate there over 10 years ago. But you dont need to post the same crap at every website out there (oh wait too late you already did)
