I have three HR22 DVR's. All three fail the system test with Error code 43-288. Two DVR's pass the satellite setup. One DVR during satellite setup shows a red X on 103* odd 13V Tuner 1. I switch cables and retested and the problem followed to turner 2. I switched cables back. I ran a new cable from tuner 1 to out 6 of the Zinwell MS6X8WB-Z switch. Retested with the same results. 103* signals are in the low to mid 70's. Any help here.

If 103 signals are in the mid 70s on ALL your DVRs, probably a dish alignment issue. Some tuners are more sensitive to low signals than others, but if they all give error 43 it's almost certainly an alignment issue.

They all give a 43 code. My issue is One DVR during satellite setup shows a red X on 103* odd 13V Tuner 1. But I am going to check the dish Monday morning. Thanks Whats a WB68 would that be the switch?

I may have mis-understood, If you only have 3 HR22, you should get a Swm8, And a Green label Directv approved 4 way SWM splitter.
And don't forget the 21 or 29 volt Power Inserter.

Then you only need 1 wire to each of your receivers and no BBC's.
And use one of your other left over wires to power the Swm8.

Realigning the dish solved the error code: 43-288. I still have one other problem. When I do satellite setup I get have one DVR during satellite setup shows a red X on 103* odd 13V Tuner 1. All others are ok. At the dish it read 13V.

Your 103ca and 103cb signals are still too low, the dish is still not properly aligned. The signals should be in the high 80s to mid 90s.

Thanks for everyone's help. Realigning the dish was a chore but solved my first concerns. This question is of a non concern at this point. If you look at the three rooms and what the readings and what satellites are and if they passed the tests or not. Maybe you people can shed some light on this also. I think it could be a cable problem to the front room???? All other readings are in the high 90's to low 80's.

System Test says needs to align dish.

No, these signals all show signs of poor alignment. No sign of cable issues. No sign of receiver issues. The variations between DVRs and tuners are quite normal. Your 103ca and 103cb signals should ALL be above 87/88 and preferably low 90s.
To give you an idea of this, my 103ca and 103cb signals are all between 89 and 95.

I've had low signals like this before, I changed the LNB.

But again I would change that WB68 and get a Swm8 or Swm LNB and be done.

What is your signal levels on the 99 ?

Changing the LNB will not improve your signals. The only way to improve is to align the dish correctly.

99ca/cb, all the non-zero TPs are 93-95

Um yes it will.
If the LNB is on its way out, you will get lower signal reading then a Proper fully functional LNB.

You can peak until you are blue in the face, But if that LNB is old and not properly functional it's not uncommon for the signals to read in the upper 70s and low 80s.

When they should be minimum 89-99.
Also that WB68 can also cause weaker then normal signals as well .

It's very uncommon for a faulty LNB to give marginally low numbers across the board like this. Not saying it's impossible, but very rare. And the WB68 does not give lower numbers either, typically. As I said, this has all the signs of marginally poor alignment. You would normally only consider a different source of the problem if an experienced tech had aligned the dish and could not achieve better numbers. Always look for the most obvious solution first.

Be nice if we know the 99 and even the 101.

I would like to thank all of you for your help. My issues are of a non concern at this point. I don't believe there ever was a concern. I had no problem with my reception in any room. I'm a 30 year IT Tech for a major oil company. The system tests were never run by me before. This started about four months ago when DirecTV jacked up my bill. I called and got it lowered and they offered a Genie upgrade for free and I said sure. A week later a contractor tech shows up to do the job. He brought the equipment in put on his white suit to go under the house and upgrade the switch. He asked where the switch was and I said in the middle of the house. He refused to go under and said this wasn't a upgrade this was an install and packed up and left. My whole day was shot at this point waiting on DirecTV. I called customer service and filed a complaint and they said sorry but they can't control their contractors. Years ago DirecTV put the switch there to keep the cable runs at a minimum to each room. I called them last week to ask if the free upgrade was still on the table and they said there was a $26.00 install fee. I decided to move the switch myself next to the entry point so the next tech wouldn't cry because he had to do some work. After the move I ran the system checks and this is when this post started. Still no problem with any reception on any TV. But being a tech myself I wanted every thing reading perfect. As I found out having three DVR's is better for me than a Genie. A Genie records 5 shows if you watch live TV on three TV's it only will record two shows. One less than I have already. My problem started on 103* 13 volt odd red X on sat setup. Trying to tweak 103* when it peaked I started to lose 99* signals. Tried to tweak 99* and started to lose 119*. So I chose to balance the three. I posted my finished reading on my last reply. You asked for 101* and 99* readings so here they are.

System Test says needs to align dish.
