Carbon UI Issues Thread

If you hit the # button in menu screens it will give you tips on how to navigate.

I just tried a couple of the help screens, including the one I mentioned and it does tell you to use the skip forward/back buttons for this

The Parental Control locked channel list has some problems. I have a bunch of channels locked out (so they don't show up in searches). After the Carbon update, all of the channels I had locked out showed up in both the Locked and Unlocked listings. They are still locked out of searches. Before I figured out what was going on, I moved all of the previously locked channels from the Unlocked list to the Locked list. They now show up twice in the Locked list.

The update went flawlessly, and I have not seen any other issues yet.

My main favorite channels list is not showing a few channels. I had to create a new list. No biggie just time consuming and also FYI.

Does anyone know where the caller ID history is? I don't see it anywhere. Maybe it's just not in this version? Also odd is when you go to the apps screen it's in the old UI format.

I tried that a couple of times with no luck. Let it sit thinking it has to set things up the first time but it just goes away after a minute or so.

Hopper with S529 recordings do not show up on Hopper with CUI (U202). Can see the reverse (U202 to S529).
Apps were very slow to load, over 20 seconds. Might be different on H3

The apps are server side. Not on the hopper.

Apps are on the Hopper, you do not have to be hooked up to any network connection to function.

The apps are updated separately from the rest of the Hopper software and can be updated at any time without updating the main Hopper software.

Oh it seemed the way they were loading on the new UI that it was server side. Thanks for the correction!

I took the dive overnight. So far things are a little sluggish on the HWS and SJ but seems stable. Overall a big improvement. Output of HD channels to composite (which I have mirrored from HWS) is letterboxed where before it filled screen in "normal" format mode.

I'm having minor issues with folders.

1. Some of my folders indicate there are recordings in them (ex: 'Brian' folder shows 5), but when going into the folder, there are 0. Other folders show and contain the correct amount of recordings.
2. One of the new folders I created last night (before the nightly reboot) was gone this morning and the recordings it contained were moved to the main DVR page (no longer in a folder).

So just keep it open for a minute or two and it will eventually populate?

System Wizard does not work.

I think they are doing away with the quick access to the SW as the new remotes don't display System Wizard on the zero key.
