I'm going to remount my 10' KTI and will be installing new actuator. I picked up a Powermax PMA24 from WSI before they shut down which is still in the box but based upon comments I've read it may not be the best option. Any thoughts on installing the PMA24 or should I just skip it and install a better model or 36"? As I'm hoping to be able to get the dish pretty low on horizon I'd rather do install just once.

I switched from 24" Ivy Stone to a 36" Venture 18 months ago and have had no problems at all. I was bumping the 24" 1 or 2 clicks once a week.

Like Norman, I started with the 24" and quickly learned there was a lot more up there that I could not get to with out choosing a horizon to favor. Switched to a 36" and now I can cover all the sky that is available to the dish, 47.5W to 139W. Only thing I can see doing is maybe one day going to a 48" :)

Which 36" are you using? The Venture norman mentioned looks great but I was hoping maybe the Superjack 36" QARL might be sufficient.

Superjack 36" QARL, and I only have a 6 footer, but I was planing for the future. Only thing that I noticed was it is a bit lower geared so the dish moves a little slower than the 24" but I don't mind it. It might also be a tad bit louder but not bad at all.
