Hey, it's 2018! What sort of FTA plans do people have?

I'm going to hopefully, finally, just maybe, get my motor aligned right so that I can get both LPB on 87w AND the PBS's on 125w. As it's been, I can make a tiny adjustment to get the national mux, and it knocks out LPB. When I make another tweak, I get LPB and lose 125 & 123. I actually have a day off while the wife's at work, so I may start working on it once the sun's up.

Ask yourself some questions. What is the offset angle of the dish I'm using? What is the tube angle of the motor I'm using? Dish offset angle plus declination angle minus motor tube angle equal adjusted declination angle for your dish setup. Then adjust your latitude angle and you should be golden ;)

I swear it worked better before I tried to get the pole perfectly plumb. I should just remove a shim or two and let the pole be slightly off-kilter. First, to finish my coffee and wait for it to be above freezing outside.

A plumb pole is a plus for sure. After putting up a few tall poles against the house I discovered they are easier to make plumb than a short pole. Same principle applies to aiming a rifle versus a hand gun.
