Is anyone aware of a service providing Live TV Streaming to businesses? I've called just about every provider and none of them support businesses.

I'm guessing it's due to legality or something, but we're actively looking for someone that can support us nationwide rather than requiring a dish or a copper install at the site location.

Most businesses I know of either subscribe to cable or they don't allow live TV viewing at all. I work for a company that falls on the "why are you watching TV when you're supposed to be working?" side.

Licensing for anything that is made available to the general public is a whole other level of headache.

Finally, I suspect most who do use it are doing so with private accounts and everybody is happy to look the other way.

I understand the concern, our satellite feeds are really just in hallways and break rooms to allow for employees to stay up to date on events. Only problem with the dish is that severe weather cuts out the signal and makes us look bad. A single cable vendor isn't available at all sites and the business doesn't want to deal with the headache of multiple vendors.

We currently have "licensing" under DirecTV for a corporate account, but no DirecTV NOW is included :(

At my job I log in to the TV Everywhere apps on the Roku hooked up to the one TV here, usually have CNN on all day.

You haven't missed anything -- they've clearly chosen not to serve corporate accounts.

Possible alternatives/workarounds:
  • Use SD channels that are somewhat more resistant to fade (Ku band rather than Ka band)
  • Find a suitable Roku channel
  • Use DISH where all of the channels are in the Ku band (probably not a lot different than DIRECTV SD but you won't have to suffer SD)
DISH has the possible advantage that you can easily use multiple and/or arbitrarily large dishes.

Do corporate accounts feature authentication (TV Everywhere)?

Not sure about all cablecos, but I know Spectrum does not. We tried to give everyone in the newsroom at the Charlotte Observer the ability to have TV Everywhere channels on their computers to avoid the need for an expensive video wall setup, but Spectrum said it wasn't possible.
