chiodo! thanks. Are Joeys HD and can you get the channels that Hopper gets? Reason I ask, is when I had comcast, for extra receiver they gave me a small box that was not capable of getting many channels.

No I am not. Joey's can change channels and watch whatever one you want, or use the DVR etc. You seemed to think the Joey's get channels on their own, by asking if they get the same channels. They do not get channels on their own they use the Hopper to get whatever you want to watch so there is no chance they don't get what the Hopper gets.
The Hopper3 is a server (master) and handles all the tuning, upto 16 channels at same time.
The Joey is a client (slave), and the requests the Hopper to use one of the Hopper tuners and stream that tuner(channel) to the Joey.
The system uses the cablecoax or wifi in your house as network

Ok! So Joey comes with its own remote. Also you mentioned discount to new customers, how about Senior Discount ?
The system does not use your Wifi to connect to wireless Joeys it has it's own wifi system. (Hopper 3)
Like I mentioned, all my rooms have coaxial, that lead to a box side of house. I did this 20 yrs ago, when I bought my house.
I did see that, and for regular Joey's that is great. But I was correcting a post on how a Wireless Joey is connected.
For new customers for the first 2 years Hoppers are $10 and Joeys are $5 each. After the first 2 years Hoppers are $15 and Joeys are $7 each, unless you negotiate a better deal. 
The Joeys will run on any decent coax but the Hopper requires 3GHz RG6 coax which your 20 year old wire may or may not be.
I hope you have 1 3Ghz, RG6 cable for the Hopper itself. Joeys don't have real limitations on cable, as long as it's not damaged anywhere
