Not sure how Clemson is still as high as they are ... they lost to NCS and got a reprieve and pulled that game out of thier arse ... never dropped
Clempson doesn't play NC State until November?

Or did you mean UNC? If so, Clempson won that game. Due to the closeness of the game, they did drop. As for being ranked where they are, they're undefeated and the defending national champions.

That's the benefit of having your road loss earlier in the season.

As it is, their resumes are similar, so doesn't really matter who's higher.

I would have put Georgia below Aubarn & Oregon though, as Georgia's loss was to a bad team at home, not a ranked team on the road (ie. Notre Dame, Aubarn, Florida, and Oregon).

Agree
7. Florida 6-1
8. Auburn 5-1
9. Oregon 5-1
10. Georgia 5-1
11. Notre Dame

Thing is Ohio State lost on the road both times.
Watching all the posts by Georgia fans on facebook is funny. Many of them saying it's a wakeup call and if they win out they'll still get into the playoffs. I told them to ask Ohio State what happens when you lose to a bad team at home.

I listen to ESPNU radio when Stern isn't on. Someone finally gave Ohio State some credit for Joe Burrow.

People forget he played in and practice in a wide open offense. Well didn't play much. Not that he wasn't good enough to.

Unfortunately, just about every time I hear something about Justin Fields, its mentioned with the Former Georgia Bulldog Justin Fields .... which is getting old ... everyone knows he was at Georgia ...

Justin is doing just fine starting for the Buckeyes (Georgia didn't want him).
Having a very good year so far ... learning every week and getting better.

Not quite. Georgia did want him, but Fields wanted to start immediately instead of waiting for Fromm (who had just led Georgia to the National Championship game) to leave.

After not getting the starting job, Fields started grumbling about it, loudly complaining about his backup role (in his second game as a true freshman, he complained about doing cleanup duty, after the South Carolina game, in a video that was released) and then later made noise to transfer. After that any playing time he had hoped to get was gone.

I can't say I blame him for leaving ... it would be his 3rd year before he has a chance to start ... that's quite a bit for a 5 star player.

I agree. Ohio State didn't deserve to go to the playoffs the last two years.

You wanna play for it all. Don't lose to people you should beat. Especially the way we got housed in those games.
Still lost to bad teams. Losing to a bad team on the road as opposed to home isn't any better.

He knew Fromm was there before he committed. That's all on him.
So your saying no one should commit then? It's hard to ask someone with Fields talent to wait 3 years. I'm not saying its right but yea it can be frustrating for any young man.

I listen to ESPNU radio and a lot of Georgia fans and SEC fans say he should have just stayed and waited. For some reason those same SEC fans didn't feel that way about Joe Burrow. The radio hosts were all over them for that one.

I don't know what is right but that young man has talent and should be playing. Same for Joe Burrow.

Joe Knew JT Barret was at Ohio State and that Haskins committed. I don't blame Joe for wanting to play and shine. I guess SEC fans have their own way of thinking.

I don’t recall the particulars of either but I think it’s how it was perceived to be handled that’s the difference.

In that, I’d hold Hurts up as THE example of how wanting playing time should be handled, and he was in a situation neither of the above were. Which is why not only Oklahoma fans are cheering for him, but Bama fans still are as well.
