It only helps if the amplifier is low noise which I very much doubt this cheapo bundled antenna is, and it would work MUCH better to use an outdoor antenna which wouldn't need to be amplified.
You don't think indoor antenna's with 50 to 200 mile range are any good. They say the have improved amplifiers for a better signal. They also have omni-directional indoor antenna's that are supposed to be good.

"Pro: The Technology Is Improving
As noted earlier, in the last few years, the antenna companies have done a great job of beefing up their products, offering indoor antennas that can pick up signals as far away as 75 miles. Yes, indoor antennas. If you had a bad experience with an antenna several years ago, you might be pleasantly surprised at how far they have come."

Even the best outdoor amplified antenna doesn't work over 100 miles except in very limited and special circumstances.

Indoor antennas can never be as good as outdoor because an antenna on your roof is higher, and isn't getting blocked by your walls. Same reason why your cell phone gets better reception standing outside your house than standing inside.

I have a +12db (w/FM trap) & a +8db in series on my outdoor antenna.

I have never heard of an antenna that went that far ... 200 miles ???
Most max out around 75-100 tops.

If you have one that goes 200 miles, I want to see if I can get one (probably quite expensive) .
I might be able to pull in Columbus stations with that !!!!

I have seen them on Amazon. Not really sure if I should believe that or not. Now Amazon is showing 280 a mile antenna.

Amazon.com: TV Antenna-Amplified HD Digital Antenna up to 280 Miles Range,Indoor Outdoor TV Antenna with 36ft Coaxial Cable Support 4K 1080p and All TV's -Smart Amplifier Signal Booster for Local Channels: Home Audio & Theater

I would actually like to try that unit, just to see how well it does work ... and talk to the people that sell/ make and see how accurate the story is ...
I wouldn't expect it to reach Columbus (150 miles) or Cleveland (115miles) .... but it says 240 miles.

And is that without being able to move it ... just stick it on the wall ... it did say outdoors would be better.

Looks like the company selling is Furlovv ... never heard of them.

Just another Chinese device. May work fine but no way it can do 280 miles.

I was thinking that too.

Do you have any antennas that you KNOW work for say up to 100 miles without having to screw around with them too much for each channel you want.

This Forlovv product says goes 240 miles on one ... 280 on another, 220 on another and it comes with 35 ft of wire on one and 36 on another and I'm sure another amount on the next ...

I think I'll pass.

No short of big arrays on very tall towers and usually needing a rotor.

Amazon also sells omni-directional indoor antenna's. Those are supposed to be better than regular indoor antenna's.

I gave up on any indoor antennas awhile ago. I’ve got one similar to what Dish is installing for some people outside and get stations well that are about 50 miles away as the crow flies.

Hey guys, what recvrs do the LCC's work with ?
Is it just the HR34,44 and 54 ?
How about the HR24, I think the answer is no, but want to find out ...
HS17 was a no also ?

I'm trying to get one so I can move an AM21 elsewhere.

Well, hopefully, I should see an LCC in 3-5 days.
Then well see what it will work on.

Only with the HR-44 and HR-54. Good luck getting an LCC. I tried 4 times to get one using online chat and everyone said I would get one and it never came. One said 1-2 business days. One said trust me don't worry you'll get one. If you try by phone the automated system doesn't know what it is.
