Site issues

I couldn't even get on the site until a few minutes ago
Thats because you were watching Bill Shatner go to space.

We had an issue this morning where WHM / Cpanel was stuck in an upgrade. Come to find out when running that upgrade again I had to agree to a new license before it would continue. Its never did that before.

I can't see where I posted about this. But I have an issue after the last XenForo update to SG. No other XenForo website exhibits this behavior (yet).

On my old/non-upgradable version of FF, I cannot originate a new post because the editor frame remains blank. I can't see anything is there! I can "like" posts, and I can even reply to them. But I can't see anything in that editor frame. When I move to a newer version of FF, like this one, I can indeed see the post to which I want to reply. So that even goes into the editor frame and gets saved.

Is there any XenForo settings for that editor frame?

What is FF?

French fries. You order them while you're watching FB
That reminds me... Navychop, being an actual Navy vet (Navy Supply Corp?) long ago and far away (from NO?), talks in acronyms all the time. He hit us with TP (which I know) and PT (which I didn't). I had to look up PT.

Speaking of TP, our local BJ's completely ran out earlier this month. Fortnately Walmart again comes through for us. The last time this happened, I had to drive for 1.5 hrs to luck onto a Walmart that had any. We had to resort to single ply sandpaper for awhile last year. :crying

Have you tried using the non-BB code version of the editor?

I saw a refurbished HP desktop in the Newegg ads yesterday for $79.99.

I have the weirdest issue with my iPad using Safari. The predictive text is totally wack. I will type a few characters of a word and when I see the word I want and press it, it’s sometimes just jumping to the next word without replacing the 3-4 characters I typed with the word that I wanted.

iOS & Safari on my iPhone works just fine, and predictive text only seems to mess up in The Pub where I hang out the most, waiting for the Tesla owners to turn any subject around to their Tesla Model <fill in the blank> :devilish

Thanks for this idea. Unfortunately, not only is the editing frame (where you type) completely blank... So are the icons above it. I literally cannot turn off whatever mode this frame is in.

I would also not expect something that dates back to 1996 to be the source for this 2021 issue.

I hate predictive text. I shut it off on all of my Apple devices. I'd rather just type out the complete word and then I know it is correct. :)

Nor should you expect the World to maintain compatibility with Windows 95.
I thank you for your idea and this is what I get? For the record:
  1. The problem machine is a 32-bit version of W7. The one I'm posting from is a 64-bit version of W7.
  2. BB code is from 1998.
  3. The earliest version of Wnidows I still have running is W2K. It was great in it's day.
  4. I have an unfortunately dead computer that still runs W95 and originally came with a 1GB disk. It has a MB-limited max memory which back then was 28MB. I believe W95 could run in 8MB. It was amazing how much we could do in so little memory.
