NFL 2022

Came across this article about changes to NFL's broadcast/scheduling/availability next year.

Notable changes include Sunday Ticket to Youtube, flex scheduling on MNF, and a few streaming-exclusive games on ESPN+, Peacock and Prime (TNF and Black Friday)

Think the only change I'm not a fan of is there are 3 MNF double headers next year.
I have no problem with DH MNF. The NFL wants to make yet more money, and the only way to do that is to show games in new time slots. Eventually we will see more European games, thus filling up the Sunday morning ET slot; and we will see an early/late MNF, with the second game running to maybe 1 AM ET, more and more often. They will play lip service to it "mostly" being two PT teams for a while, but that will go away.

The change I don't like is the flexing of MNF. Not all fans live right in the city. Many teams have fans in other towns around their region, and some draw geographically illogical fans. Anybody who has ever flown on a Sunday morning knows what I am talking about, lots of Steeler and Cowboy fans making their way through the airports. Many people make plans for the entire Fall and early Winter based on their team's games. And you are going to tell people, with only a few days' notice, that a game scheduled for 1 ET on a Sunday is now going to be at 8:30 ET on a Monday night. That is just not the way to treat people.

I kinda Like the Monday DH's ...

Brady knows he is done. Father Time is undefeated.

The better question is will he ever actually appear on Fox, and will he actually be any good. Fox, which normally, IMHO, is the best run of the four major networks, paid him a gazillion dollars and put him on-deck for its #1 slot, AFAIK without any experience beyond a sycophantic local radio show and no screen test.

The history books are full of great athletes that stank as TV presenters.

You're not wrong, but after a day at work it was what I needed for the drive home :oldlaugh

I wonder where his head is at and if there's an out to this in case he just wants more of a clean break from football.
I’d imagine he can turn down the money and Fox would be fine with it.

Final game of the 2022-2023 NFL campaign is here, thankful to have a team at it's peak and able to make it to a few of these within a handful of years. Enjoying it while I can. Think the Eagles are a better team today, but Mahomes is ridiculous so anything's always possible. Hope everyone has a good afternoon w/ friends / family / food. Go Chiefs!

He's getting around pretty good, thinking last team that scores wins... Wreck em Tech is my hope.
I was worried that was going to be it, but we have a game. Like you said, it may come down to the last scoring drive.
