As a Michigan alum and fan, all I can say is we got robbed. I can sympathize with Auburn from a few years ago. Until the BCS has a real playoff in place, this subjective stuff will take away from the whole thing.

Why can't this game be played on a Saturday night, so you don't have to go to work the next day ?

This stuff happens because the Big Ten ends thier season alot earlier and get forgot about, it happens every year to the Big Ten.
I vote for ALL teams to start the same week and END the same week, that way voters have all the games fresh in thier mind.
I see M beating USC by about 10 on New Years Day.
What do you know, a Rose bowl game with the Big 10 and the Pac 10.

It was nice to not be the team hoping to get a vote to go this year, OSU has been close for several years and always needed to "Get to the 2nd spot" in order to go.
It's just a nice change of pace.

i hate to burst your bubble guys but the talking heads on espn said (and i agree) that the speed of florida's defense will keep them in the game.
the only thing that hurts florida is their field goal kicker stinks. and if it comes down to that for a win, they will probably find themselves on the losing end of the stick. but trust me, this team is much better than you think.

great side by side comparison in today's daytona paper. only category michigan wins is that they averaged more points in there wins over division 1 opponents.
i hate a system that excludes worthy teams. but don't tell me florida doesn't deserve a shot at the national title. they earned it!!!

How did they get robbed?? Hey had the bad luck of losing their last game of the season. IT is a edged in stone that when you lose late in the season, that is never good...REGARDLESS of who you lose to. I for one did not want a rematch because then if Michigan wins....who is #1?? Not Ohio State...but they would bitch because they would cry that they beat Michigan earlier....Michigan would bitch because they beat the #1 team...and both legitimate gripes. It is simple now, in my opinion...IF Florida wins...they are the #1 team, based on the simple fact that they were THE ONLY TEAM to be undefeated and consensus #1 Ohio State. YES, we need a playoff system...but until the presidents of ALL these universities stop being so damn greedy, this is the best we got.
At least the OSU-UF matchup brings alot more smack talk here!
