So what. Ohio State barely escaped at least one of their games too if not more.

illinois, 17-10, hardly barley escaping, plus lets not forget they are undefeated, who did florida lose too? Auburn who is ranked 11, Ohio State has done nothing but win, also its amazing they have already beat two #2 and yet no one here gives them respect.

is this the same florida team that BARLEY escaped at Florida state, and south carolina? and also tennesse? I am just curious how they can not show up for these games, and you guys think that they are going to show up against the #1 team in the country? a team that has put the smack down on every team they have played? Watch Tennessee lay the wood to PSU on new years day, than watch a replay as Arkansas does the same to Wisconsin. It is just to bad the Visor won't get a chance to do the same to a Big 10 team.

Take nothing from auburn they played a great game and the cards fell their way thats how football is... cant take back the loss but in the eyes of the voters in the BCS im sure they didnt see it as a loss.

Sure it was a loss. If the voters did not count it as a loss they would not have been #4 last week. The voters did not want to see a rematch. I personally am glad Florida got the bid. It would have been a lot tougher on OSU if they had to play Michigan again.

i hate to burst your bubble guys but the talking heads on espn said (and i agree) that the speed of florida's defense will keep them in the game.

the only thing that hurts florida is their field goal kicker stinks. and if it comes down to that for a win, they will probably find themselves on the losing end of the stick. but trust me, this team is much better than you think.

Flordia has a great D , But I think Ohio State has a offense good enough to play very well against that great D, Michigan also has a great D, maybe not quite as good as Flordia's , but close, and OSU scored 40+.

Ohio State's D is NOT great, but very close too it, and getting better by the game, 90% of them are freshmen and southmores.

It was the OSU D that was the BIG suprise this year.

I for one NEVER expected a top 5, maybe would have been skeptical to have a top 10 this year, because of the YOUNG D this year...
Then after a few games, you started to realize that this D is much better than most expected.

I'm not convinced that Flordia has the Offense to be where they are.
Michigan's Offense is better overall, Flordia's D may be slightly better than M's.

How did they get robbed?? Hey had the bad luck of losing their last game of the season. IT is a edged in stone that when you lose late in the season, that is never good...REGARDLESS of who you lose to. I for one did not want a rematch because then if Michigan wins....who is #1?? Not Ohio State...but they would bitch because they would cry that they beat Michigan earlier....Michigan would bitch because they beat the #1 team...and both legitimate gripes. It is simple now, in my opinion...IF Florida wins...they are the #1 team, based on the simple fact that they were THE ONLY TEAM to be undefeated and consensus #1 Ohio State. YES, we need a playoff system...but until the presidents of ALL these universities stop being so damn greedy, this is the best we got.

Michigan had thier chance ..... and Lost...

I cant wait to watch you all eat your words, and florida has used 2 qb's since when steve ran the team. Even when they had 2 heisman winners as their qb.. its just there way of playing and it obviously works.

Have you EVER seen a 2 headed QB situation that succeded ?

Ohio State had that awhile back and could not get anywhere, like just before Troy emerged..... Very good teams and a great D to go with it, but never won anything, except the M games and the bowl games.

Ohio State will be playing against a defense that is much better than anything the Big Ten or Texas put on the field.

Texas HAS a top notch D and so had M.
Flordia is slightly better ..... We scored at least 24 points on both.

with apologies to steven, meyer has used 2 qb's this year because tebow is an option quarterback, who can get that necessary yard or two on third or fourth down. leak is a 4-year starter, who is a drop back passer. if meyer plays to leak's strengths in the championship game, the buckeyes will be in for a treat!!

Second - see #1. Urban played more freshman than any other div-I school. They now have a 13 game SEC season under their belts and he has a month to coach them up. The Freshman (Harvin, Fayson, Tebow) play a huge role in this game and account for a 2 TD upswing in FLAs offense.

This cracks me up. First - they won. 2nd - you pointed out rivals which as USC can tell you can be very tough. FLA has a lot of rivals - don't put too much on the score.

Second - Michigan barely escaped Penn State, BALL STATE??, a mediocre Minnesota by only 14, put up a grand 17 points on that POWERFUL Northwestern defense which got them to 2-7 this year.

Whats your point? FLA showed up for every game they played. You don't back into an SEC title, 12-1 record, beat all of your rivals, etc...
