I don't quite understand the question, but it will work for both, when set-up correctly. And you have the right equipment, C-band dish and lnb's, ku-band dish and lnb's. Propper switches, ect.

pretty much every FTA box out there will work with both C-Band and KU band. Maybe some really old model may only do C-Band but I have a Viacast 2000. IT is the bottom of the totem pole FTA box. No motor, no blind scan, 10 transponder entry, no channel editing, etc

but it does both C& KU. Have G4 C-Band and G10 KU into it. Works great :)

so it's good to buy? i was going to buy it , what do you think i like it but i dont want to buy something that doesnt work with c/ku band but let me know thanks i've been looking awhile just finally ready to purchase and see whats out there :)
 
I guess googling for Pansat, going to their site and reading the 2700 specs there where it states: "Flexible reception of SCPC & MCPC from C/Ku-Band Satellites" is just too much to ask. :rolleyes:
 
I have a 2700A hooked up to both big and small dishes, C and Ku bands. Works well all around. You'll need a switch to change between C and Ku band but if you buy the factory box, it'll have a switch included. I'd recommend buying from an authorized dealer so you don't get a cloned model. And I'd look around for a better price with a reasonable shipping charge. The prices should be coming down since the 2800A has recently come out. Have fun.
 
I have a pansat 2700a hooked up to my BUD and i love it. Good blind scan, AC-3 audio, and will control a polarotor. When used with a vbox II you can use one remote to control all functions on your BUD with a 2700a . Cant ask for much else ;-) BTW, there is a review on the 2700 in the reviews area.
