I just purchused a 1 terabyte HP (My Book) USB desktop drive for the VIP722 dvr and was wondering if it will work on that reciever? I know the reciever will only recognize 750 megs but thats beside the point for me....The price was right!

I looked in the smart card slot, nothings there! I opened the left side which covers the smart card, nothing sticking out of the slot, looked into the slot couldn't see any card at all!!!

Well men, I called Dish and was told to reboot the receiver, after I had HDMI cables proberly installed and TV set to HDMI of course. I did that and all came up fine, Who knew?
