Have you consider that Directv has 5 million more subscribers than DISH. Personally, I just dumped Dish and returned to Directv. I will take HR box over 722 any day.
And yet, Directv is adding way more subscribers than Dish.
I hope you don't regret this decision. I was with Directv then I switched to Dish and now I'm back with Directv. The only good thing about dish are speedier receivers and EHD.
Some problems with the 722 receiver:

Two of my four local stations have out of sync audio problem (WDBJ-CBS and WSLS-NBC). Watching Merlin on NBC a week ago was like watching a foreign movie with dubbing. Audio problem on WDBJ is less severe but consistent. Audio on WSLS goes from perfect to 'foreign movie'. Neither WSET-ABC nor...

On my receiver both SD and HD locals from DISH have suffix -0. All OTA channes have -1, -2, etc.
There is possibility that your local PBS changed channel assignment. Try re-scanning your locals.
Occasionally, I get a message on my 722k that the signal was lost for no reason (no rain or tree). The problem is that the message will not go away and the signal is not re-acquired. I have to go to next channel and come back to fix this problem. It happens on all satellites. My signal strength...
