Mine has slowed down a lot, its only 3.5 months old I wanted to see if there any others noticing this and how old yours are or any other info that might shed some light on the reason Could it be new SW update or HDD getting fuller or something else completely?

i am beginning to think that the HDD availability has nothing to do with the HR24 slowing down, I wonder how many others are noticing a slow down too

Thanks for the quote, now that i see it again its clearer what they mean, originally i thought people like me with Choice xtra would get 50 more channels next week, but now it appears that all i get free next week is what i actually pay for DTV need to filter their spam a little better

I've had my HR24 for about 3 months now and it seems to be a lot slower to respond, the only thing i can think of is that i am starting to get below 10% left on my internal HDD, or is there just something else wrong

When I spoke with DTV they said they dont have phone numbers of their local installers, but some people are saying that the installers call you in advanced I guess to confirm the appt, I can ask then for the newest HW I did type in my request for an HR24 in my online order FWIW

So is it guaranteed if you pay for whole home DVR you will get HR24 and H24? Also are these the only differences? Doesnt the HR24 have a bigger HDD than the older HD DVR's?
