It's not the old superDISH.
It has "turboHD" logo on it. I don't know if it's 1000, 1000.2, etc. It's picking up 110/119/129, no switch is needed for the installation (1 722 receiver).
It's a brand new one when technician installed it.
Recently I moved to a new location. I used to have HD & international programming, so I have a 1000+ dish which can pick up 110, 119, 118.7 & 129 (with DPP44 switch). I've fulfilled my 18 months contract already.
I did the $6 service plan + $15 technician visit to move to the new address...
I do not have a nearby phone jack or LAN port available, how strictly is DISH enforcing this?
Also, I have some USB 802.11 b/g adapters, any way to use it with DISH 722 receiver? Does DISH 722 support HomePlug powerline networking?
Thanks
I got Comcast local channels for free and I'd like to combine DISH 722 receiver's TV2 output(channel 60 or 73, set to 73 now) with Comcast local channels over one single coax cable. Is it possible?
I checked Comcast's channels, nothing on 60 or 73. However, if I put them together just using...
Maybe it's the hard drive, I'm not sure. But why don't they turn off the hard drive when it's not used? If they need to download guide or something, just spin up the hard drive and do it, but let the hard drive run 8 hours when it's not being used?
Hello,
I noticed that VIP722's fan is running even after I turned off the receiver(AC is still plugged in), thus it makes a humming noise. It's very noticeable especially at night.
Any way to turn off VIP722 completely or let it go into some kind of idle mode?
Thanks!
I am planning to get a USB drive for my HD722 receiver, just want to know if the files(SD & HD) on USB drive are encrypted or not?
Is it a way to play them back on PC?
If they are encrypted for normal channels, how about ABC/CBS/NBC/FOX broadcasting channels?
Thanks!
I'm a bit far from the towers so I can't get all the OTA ATSC broadcast stations. I have Comcast basic analog package and I'm wondering if DISH722 can pick up the QAM(un-encrypted) HD channels?
I saw "Off-the-Air", "Cable", "IRC", "HRC" options in my 722 menu. Does the "Cable" mean QAM? Or...
I just bought a Vip 211 receiver to replace my old 811 receiver and I'm having OTA channel problems.
I can scanned all the OTA channels(In system setup, local channel), the signal strength are all fine. But the channels are not showing up in my guide and I can't jump directly to it.
For...
It's not my TV. Sometimes there are some text messages on the screen(SD), you'll notice that it's clearer in S-Video mode than in Component out mode. 1080i from Component looks like they just double the pixels for the text characters, fuzzy.
I found that S-Video output of my 811 produces better PQ than Component out on my Panasonic LCD RPTV. It's really a pain to switch video input when you watch HD/SD stuff. It looks like 811's upconversion(to 1080i) for SD is quite poor, if I feed 480i signal directly to my TV and it produces a...
I'm waiting for Comcast to simulcast the ananlog channels in digital form(all analog below 100), once they have that, I'll sign up with Comcast and probably keep DISH for international channels. Of course, if Comcast can also carry VOOM, that'll be cool.
Sometimes I really want to record...
Do you guys think DISH will release an IRD with active Firewire?
I was using Comcast's Motorola 6200 and it has an active Firewire output which I can use to record all the HiDef channels to my JVC 30K DVHS. Then I switched to DISH due to its international channels, but it seems like 811, 921...
It's extremely hard to get rid of the local channels if you are on DHA. I tried twice(I'm using a leased 811 and can get locals in HD), basically CSR just said "NO", you "HAVE TO" get it.
